The Silverado Beach House at Clear Lake is a vacation and holiday
home rental that was created by our family to give you and your
family a great vacation experience. You will find the house clean
and fully furnished - a place we would like to go and stay
ourselves!

The beach house is located in northern California just northwest of
the City of Clearlake on the open water (not a canal and no weeds!), and has
panoramic views of wooded hills around Clear Lake and Mt. Konocti
just across the lake.

There is a private pier and boat dock used only by everyone in your
family or group. The pier has a large sun deck for lounging or
taking in the views and connects to the boat dock by a short
gangway. The boat dock can be used to moor your boat or for
swimming and fishing. There is a convenient boat launch ramp just
up the beach for launching boats.

The expansive sand and gravel beach is great for kids. There is
nearly 60 feet of private lake front beach, however, a vacant lot
next door expands the beach use area. Children (and adults) can
play on the beach, and also get into rock collecting.  You'll find rounded
pieces of various colored rocks, quartz, and even obsidian (volanic
glass) can be found.

The incredible views of Mt. Konocti, Clear Lake, and surrounding
wooded hills are unbeatable from the beach area or from the beach
house. Mt. Konocti to the west is an extinct volano that has many
moods - illuminated in morning sunlight, silhouetted by
fiery red sunsets, sometimes shrouded in fog, or snow capped in
winter.

Think of the beach house during FALL and WINTER. Put a fire log in
the old stone fireplace and you have that cozy place for a romantic
get away or unique setting for a family holiday retreat -
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's, Easter. See

Additional Information. Please request our rental information
as it lists many details too extensive to list here, including the
layout of the property, what is provided (room by room), and
suggested recommendations about what you should bring. The
following items should be considered when making a reservation, and
we are always willing to answer any questions you may have.

The Silverado Beach House is lakefront, and the distance from the
house to the beach and lake is about 60 feet. However, like many
homes around Clear Lake the house is separated from the beach and
lake by a street. Because the beach house location is in a rural
area the street is not very busy, but cars do go by. This is
sometimes a safety concern of families with smaller children. For
most families this is not an insurmountable concern since children
need constant supervision while at the beach and lake and need to be
accompanied to and from the beach and lake at all times.

Each bed has a mattress pad and comforter.
Blankets and pillows for up to eight are also provided. 

Boaters - the beach house is on the eastern shoreline in a part of
the Clear Lake where some of the deepest waters of the lake are just
offshore. While this means that there is excellent boating, skiing,
fishing, and no aquatic plant problems, prevailing westerly winds
and breezes can create wave conditions such that boats often can not
be left in the water unattended or overnight. Therefore, we
recommend that boats be taken out of the water when unattended for
long periods during the day or overnight. The boatlaunch ramp just
200 feet up the beach makes launching and taking boats out very
convenient (small use fee is required). Those who rent boats should
consider renting on a daily basis, and returning the boat each day.

queen, two double, and two roll-away beds.

Complete kitchen - dishes, pots/pans, glasses, appliances, and
gadgets. Basic spices, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil are provided.

Dining area for six, plus more space on the attached covered
patio.

Living room decorated in lighthouse theme. Great views of Clear
Lake and Mt. Konocti from the large picture windows, an old stone
fireplace, couch, chairs, floor pillows, cable TV, flat wide-screen plasma TV, DVD, VCR, CD player, telephone, and games.

Laundry with front load washer and dryer and folding table.

Upper Deck View Patio attached to house just off the kitchen/dining
area, plus shaded beach picnic area.

July 4th-our regular summer weekly rate applies, but a one week stay
that includes the closest weekend is required.

Two night minimum for a Friday or Saturday night stay and some
holidays. Three night minimum for a Monday holiday.
