Maine's Penobscot Bay is known as one of the world's most beautiful environments. Take the mailboat ride from Stonington, cross a granite causeway, and arrive at this former ship captain's house, one of the premier spots on the New England coast. Surrounded by saltwater on three sides, there is a living room with Rumford fireplace, a large dining room, and kitchen with pantry, gas stove, and dishwasher. There are six bedrooms including two small loft rooms and two and a half bathrooms.

The National Park has extensive hiking trails and there is a freshwater pond for swimming several miles down the road. The island has a store, lighthouse, gift shop, chocolatier, and lots of nature.
