Robbies' Retreat in Summerland Key

As you can see by the pictures, this house is very unique and has it's own quirky atmosphere to match. The owner set it up for FUN, not just to look pretty. After entering into a huge wrap around type kitchen you spy a pool table in the middle of the house. It converts nicely into a ping pong table and right next to that is a real video arcade game with hundreds of games to play for free!and in the next room is a big screen TV with play station 2 and games. Who set this place up? Peter Pan? Why does it feel so big? Because it is! Split level, high vaulted ceilings, we're talking two stories on top of the carport area. At the top of the stairs are two master suites, one with a king size bed the other with two queens. There is a cozy loft at the top of the stairs with a sofa sleeper for two. There's seating for six on the screened lanai overlooking a clear blue, free flowing canal just minutes from the ocean. Add some flavor to your vacation, spend it at Robbies.

Geez,  Where do I begin?  Robbie does not cut corners...400 LB ice machine (do you hear me fishermen?) 15 K boat lift, fish cleaning table..... Some rod & reels too. There's a party area at ground level with sink and countertop, refrigerator & grill for cookouts and fish fries. Bar stools and reed grass give it that old Tiki Bar Jimmy Buffet welcome. Cable TV and high speed internet access to keep in touch with the rest of the world.  A couple of beach cruiser style bicycles to explore the neighborhood and make some new friends. People are always jogging or walking their dogs and everyone is so friendly. Did you say snorkel? Robbie left four sets of snorkel gear for the family to use together. He thought of everything from yard games for the younger ones to the big O'Brien tube for the big ones. Did I mention he left you an ENTIRE LOT next door to park your trailers and trucks? Who can match that? Compare this to other rentals and I think it's very affordable.

Key West is only 35 minutes away for great food and entertainment.
Duval steet provides a day of shopping for unique gifts and art
museums are everywhere. Don't miss the nightly free sunset
celebration at Mallory Square, food, circus acts and vendors.
Ten minutes from the house, Big Pine Key has snorkling and dive
trips, glass bottom boats and all types of charter fishing. Stop at
the Key Deer National Wildlife refuge, it's the only place you will
see a rare Key deer.  Various restaurants and sports bars are within
10 minutes of house.  Google "Bahia Honda State Park" and see the beauty of this beach which is worth a day trip to snorkle and picnic with the family.

Mini season, fantasy fest, holidays and regular lobster season rates are
slightly higher. Look at my calendar, I try to update it weekly.
A refundable security deposit (minus $150 cleaning fee and
utilities) will reserve your dates.
