Island Cottage in Savannah

Charming cottage on Wilmington Island in Savannah, Georgia.  Fifteen minutes to historic downtown and 15 minutes to the beach.  Very safe area and wonderful for biking and walking.  Cottage sits behind the main house which fronts the Wilmington River.  Visitors are encouraged to fish,swim and go crabbing off the dock and enjoy the gardens.  Bring your kayak or canoe. Cottage has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, an eat-in kitchen and a living room.  Cable and internet available.

Dock and floating dock on the Wilmington River.   Enjoy unbelievable sunsets and pull in a trap full of Georgia Blue Crabs.  Cook your catch on the outdoor cook station located at the main house in front.  Safe and friendly family environment. Very tranquil. Easy access to shops, restaurants and grocery stores.  Historic Savannah is only 15 minutes by car as well as Tybee Beach.  Many golf courses to choose from and boat rentals available at local marina.

Fishing and swimming right on property.  Simply walk through the garden at the main house and you will find yourself facing the Wilmington River.  The most beautiful sunsets in the world.   Watch dolphins swim and play, watch  pelicans dive for their daily catch, Great Blue Herons and egrets abound.  Lovely bird sanctuary and gardens.  Eastern Bluebirds, Redbellied Woodpeckers, Cardinals and more have made our yard their home.  World famous chef, Paula Dean, lives one  mile down the road.   Historic Savannah has endless attractions from art galleries and wonderful restaurants, to museums and gorgeous historic walking squares.  Tybee Island (15 minutes by car) offers swimming at the beach, surfing, people watching and sun bathing.  Rent a kayak, sail board, etc.  Great restaurants, too.

3 night minimum.  Daily housekeeping not included.  One time house cleaning fee of $100.  One half deposit due up front, balance upon arrival. Sorry, no credit cards.  No pets, no smoking in the cottage.  Outside smoking ok.
