vacation rental description
Due to our repeat visitors The 2011 rental season is: CLOSED
If you want to get on a wait list for 2012 for possible dates please contact me.
Step back in time and experience a true New England country vacation at our family's delightful, private (there is only one neighbor 50'+ away through trees), 1920's lakeside summer cottage. This retreat has all the charm of yesterday with the modern conveniences to make your vacation stress-free and memorable.
Enjoy the panoramic beauty of the water, loons and islands from our private dock and raft. Have fun fishing and exploring hidden coves with the canoe. Relax in front of the brick fireplace with a good book or watch the lake from the sunny, screened front porch. Bow Lake nights are perfect for entertaining, S'mores, fireflies and stargazing.
Nippo Lake golf course is a few miles away, and the family can walk down a country road to the Blue Loon market; stopping on the way back to pick blueberries from the farm.
This is a perfect, peaceful, get-away spot. Most folks who come to the cottage just like to stay put; but it is located near New Hampshire's Antique Row on Rt. 4 and is just 45 minutes from both Concord and Portsmouth. Kittery Maine, with its miles of outlet shops, is just a few minutes beyond Portsmouth.
Manchester and Logan airports and an Amtrak station in Durham make travelling to the cottage convenient for out of area guests.
Four generations of our family and friends cherish our time at Bow Lake each summer. We know you will, too.
Thanks to the friends and families who have been renting with us for generations, and the new families we've met through Vacationrentals.com, our 2011 season is CLOSED. I do keep a waiting list for the following year, so email me if you want to be informed what weeks it will be open for new renters in 2012.
Have a wonderful Summer wherever your travels take you...
Lauren
