It did not take long to feel right at home in this spacious, comfortable vacation home. Everything you needed was provided! It was clean and well maintained. If there were any issues (which there were not), contacts close by were provided to help you out. You are close to the village, shopping, sightseeing and much more. It was so pleasant to sit in the sun by the pool after golf/shopping and sip a glass of wine with friends! We enjoyed the Fisherman's Village, lunch at The Big Cheese and a walleye fry at the Elk's Lodge. We did not have time to visit all the great restaurants in the area as there are many. Lots of room and a lovely view on the canal. Hope to return.

We stayed at Palm Villa in October 2012 for two weeks. The booking process with the owners was extremely easy and efficient and we were given detailed information about the location and the villa. On arrival we found the villa to be fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a home from home holiday. We spent many relaxing days at the poolside gazing at the view, making full use of the large pool, the BBQ and fishing from the boat dock at the end of the beautifully maintained garden. Even though we had many fun days exploring the West coast of Florida from Tampa to the Everglades it was always a pleasure to return 'home' to the villa.

Hiring a boat is very simple and a great way to explore the surrounding islands and watch the dolphins and manatees. It is also an ideal way to visit some restaurants along the waterways and view the stunning properties around this area.

Palm Villa in Punta Gorda is in a very quiet affluent residential area but there is much to do close by. We visited a few restaurants in the area - Jacks on Marion, River City Grille and our favourite The Captain's Table in Fisherman's Village.

The weather in October was amazing with only one rain shower and Palm Villa certainly contributed to being one of our most favourite and relaxing holidays ever and we hope to return soon.

Palm villa

A lovely kept villa, with a dockside for boating and fishing or just chilling. Many a night spent just sitting at the dockside having a beer, watching for jumping fish, and we did see a dolphin swim past.
My wife and I needed this chilled holiday, away from the hustle of Orlando, my kids were entertained by the pool, surely there was only so many times you could jump in, climb out then jump in again, but my 5 and 2 year olds broke all records.

Restaurants a few, but if you go to Fishermans village, there's a few bars and restaurants there.
The local Chinese (one by the Publix) is very nice and well priced. But the Irish bar (Celtic . . .'s) can't remember it's name, was great for food and UK beer, no local brews there.

You are 90 minute drive from Busch Gardens, 2 and half hrs from Disney, which was ok for us, we did Disney once, and Busch twice. Approximately 60 mins drive from the town of Naples, well worth a visit!

Well recommended villa, all in.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sight seeing, romantic getaway
