Charming Capitol Hill Home Perfect for Group/Family Getaways in Washington

A PERFECT stay for ALL!

A perfect home with more space than expected for 2 families with teenagers & babies (12, +2 babies). All the comforts of a city home in close proximity to all sightseeing in the DC area. Walk, drive or train (Metro) - you're just minutes away from it all! This area is diverse (Black, White,Latino, Asian, etc.) therefore, perfect for people of ALL cultures and backgrounds. House is located in a decent neighborhood. Very clean. Sleeping area upstairs (4 sleeping areas - can sleep 8) was very comfortable. Plenty of closet/drawer space. Sleeping area in finished basement (full futon and extra bedroom - can sleep 4) was very comfortable for the teenagers. TV's in every room. Washer/dryer was a plus. Bathrooms are very neat and clean. Storage under basement steps provided toilet paper, paper towels, blankets which were useful for the extras needed during our 4-day stay. Two driveways available for parking on property (located on side & back of house) as well as on-street parking. BUT...be careful of the time/days of on-street parking. You WILL be ticketed if parked on the street at the wrong time & day. (The guy gave us a break since we were out of towners). Check the parking signs. Towels are provided in all rooms but recommend you bring extra towels, blankets & pillows for lengthy stays and to accommodate groups of more than 10. LOVED the kitchen, dining area. Did not lack amenities. Fun was had by all. Will "definitely" return and have already recommended this place to friends and family.

Perfect Spring Break stay for family of 12+

This home was a great place to stay with our family of 12 adults & teenagers, plus 2 babies. Everything you need to feel like a home away from home! They have a high chair and pack & play which made it easy for a mom of 2. There were plenty of rooms and sleeping space. The 2 1/2 baths also very helpful to get everyone ready on time for our daily activities. The Metro train was a short walk away and easy to get to! Take Orange line to Smithsonian stop for museums and National Mall area. Also, very easy drive down to see monuments and tidal basin area. Check out the Eastern Market when you come for plenty of restaurant choices - short 10 min drive. Will come back and stay here again without a doubt. Plenty of things to see and do and this home is very close to it.

Plenty of room for 6 or more

Great house with lots of room. It had more like 6 bedrooms if you count all the rooms with beds. Downstairs had a living area with couch/bed plus a bedroom and laundry area along with 4 bedrooms or sleeping areas upstairs. It was nice to be able to do laundry. There were 6 adults and we stayed a week. Plenty of room and privacy for the couples. The walk to the Metro was about 5 blocks, but an easy walk. The only downfall was we couldn't seem to find any restaraunts close by or that would deliver. We were a little nervous about the area, since we had never been there, but everyone we met was friendly. We had a great time!
