Raton & Delray Beach. Castillo Del Mar is not just a house, it is an experience! From the moment that one
arrives to this stone clad Spanish Colonial home, they will enter a luxury paradise that was designed as a
lifestyle, intentionally created for relaxation and entertaining. Castillo Del Mar is an incredibly romantic retreat,
and yet, it is the perfect resort for a family.The property’s private beach is a wonderful setting to enjoy a family
day of sun and sea, or a cocktail at sunset.Castillo Del Mar is not a typical rental.It was patiently designed and
decorated by its owners who have traveled the world to find many of the treasures that lie inside.That is why
Castillo Del Mar is only offered for a limited number of rentals per year.If you love luxury and appreciate quality,
you will feel at home in Castillo Del Mar.
Upon entering Castillo Del Mar, you are greeted by a 14 foot tall wall of glass, created by over-sized French
Doors. Your initial greeting is a view of a beautiful pool and landscaped gardens, with a sailboat in the
background. Inside, the limestone floors, the Grand piano and the elegant wrought iron staircase introduces
our guests to the old world luxury that awaits them.
The entire back of Castillo faces the water. Fifteen French doors flank the perimeter, exposing the entire area to
an incredible volume of sunlight. The rooms are wrapped around open patios and covered loggias. With the
doors all open, guests enjoy the extension of the outdoor terraces and pool, complete with ocean breezes.
Guests frequently express how much they enjoy family dinners out under the lit Gumbo Limbo trees, poolside. It
is the ultimate setting for a romantic dinner for two. Castillo’s outdoor living room is a favorite retreat, for lazy
afternoons spent reading, or after dinner relaxation in the cuddle chairs, next to the fireplace. This space gets
year round use as the ocean breezes are constant.
There is no carpet or tile in Castillo Del Mar. Instead, there are exotic marbles and stones from over a dozen
different countries. The mahogany doors were handmade in South America. All cabinetry was custom designed
and crafted by a Brazilian craftsman.
Castillo Del Mar’s Kitchen is a cook’s dream! It is a commercial grade kitchen with an island and butler’s pantry.
This area was intentionally designed for interactive dinner parties. . .three separate prep areas, complete with
sinks, allows for three cooks in this kitchen! For those that prefer to observe rather than participate, the raised
granite bar wraps around, seating six comfortably. A nearby Breakfast Room with seating for six, is great for
casual dining.
The adjacent Family Room is an extension to the kitchen. It is furnished with sumptuous leather club chairs,
luxurious sofa and a fireplace. An English wall unit houses the custom stereo and TV, complete with surround
sound and outdoor speakers to all patios.
Castillo Del Mar has an elegant Dining Room which seats up to twelve, comfortably. Though the owners host
most dinners outdoors, it is wonderful for family holiday dinners.
The downstairs Master Guest Suite offers great privacy. It’s British Colonial Theme features a Queen size
Seagrass bed. The antique back and white photos of old Barbados and sailing vessels makes one feel they are
in a colonized island. This room has an in-suite bathroom and French Doors out to a private patio.
The Upstairs Guest Suite is made up of two spacious rooms, adjoined by a luxury bathroom. The Moroccan
themed Guest Room has it’s own private balcony. Colorful Silk panels drape the canopy bed in the center of the
room. Guests in this room also enjoy a large built in make up vanity. Adjoining this room is a comfortable Retreat
Room, which doubles for an additional guest room. It’s eclectic Island theme features a large armoire housing a
television, sofa, chair, desk, and a leather ottoman. The sofa makes a Queen bed, made extremely comfortable
by a featherbed. Guests often say they do not want to leave THE MASTER SUITE! Truly the romantic hideaway of
Castillo Del Mar, this sanctuary is perfect for honeymooners and gives privacy to couples vacationing together.
Entered through it’s double door foyer, the Master Suite offers a bedroom plus a retreat area. Sink into the
extra deep pillow top king size bed, dressed in white, high quality linens, which are ironed with lavender water.
Adjacent to the dark mahogany poster bed is a sitting area with a sofa and over-sized lounge chair for great
quiet time.This room is full of light from the multiple windows and French doors, making it a perfect setting for
morning yoga. The fireplace creates a romantic setting at night.The wet bar is complete with a coffee bar so
guests can lounge upstairs with their morning coffee. Most prefer it out on the covered terrace overlooking the
water, which also features a private sun deck.The Master Bath was designed with the feel of a luxury spa. Open
shelving houses sumptuous white towels, ready for guests to enjoy a candle lit bath in the whirlpool or be
invigorated by the multiple shower heads in the 12 ft. shower. Women adore the spacious marble top vanity,
designed special for the lady of the house.While the scattered seashells are a reminder of the casualness of
this beautiful space, the crystal chandelier over the tub reinforces the understated elegance which is consistent
