Our family enjoyed our visit so much. The accommodations were fantastic. Beautiful place to stay and enjoy family time together. Thank you! We would highly recommend this home.

A great time even with a few small needed improvements

We recently stayed at Beary Blessed for a week. The location is wonderful, right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We actually enjoyed the winding roads up the mountain to get to the cabin! The overall "curb appeal" of the cabin is nice, and it was quite spacious for our group if 3 adults and 2 children. The view was somewhat limited due to obvious trees and a couple other cabins clos by, but we were able to get a glimpse of some nice sunsets as well as the lights at night. We liked that it had main level entry, too. Other nice features were the nice screend in porch, front porch and porch off second floor bedroom, rocking chairs on the porch, Washer/dryer availability, king sized beds, and jacuzzi tub. Overall, we had a nice stay. There are a few things we did feel could use improvement, though....
...cleanliness--the cabin didn't seem to be cleaned very well, a lot of spider webs inside, dirt in corners and on stairs, hair in bathrooms, hot tub had some garbage in it.
...TVs in bedrooms did not work properly
...kitchen--good amount of supplies but some useful things missing such as hotpads, extra towels/dishcloths, baking sheet. Plus, the dishes were not very clean....maybe the dishwasher needs an update? We found some dishes stored under e sink with cleaning supplies and dirty used scrubbers, which was not very appealing.
...furniture and carpeting are pretty outdated and worn, could use updates maybe.
....might check on raccoons or other animals possibly living somewhere near or the cabin attic?? We heard them rustling around every night.

As said, overall, we had a very nice stay, as we always do when we visit the area. However, we have stayed in some much cleaner and more updated cabins! After reading through the guest books under he coffee table, we found that guests who stayed at the cabin from back in 2009 had some of the same "complaints" and suggestions as we have, and it's 2012! So it seems that maybe those guest books aren't read? We did have a bear most up to our garbage recepticle the last night there, which was great! We were hoping to see one. He just seemed to be checking for food, and when he couldn't get into the cans, he left. Fun to see him! Again, nice stay at a nice place that needs a few improvements.

Road well traveled!

Beary Blessed cabin is indeed on "top" of the mountain. We had a little trouble finding it because the roads aren't marked paticularly well. However, when we did, we loved it immediately. The cabin was clean enough, although, the sheets could certainly be updated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. The view would have been beautiful had the person next door not built their house directly in front of Beary Blessed.
All in all we had a wonderful time in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area and would recommend it to anyone and we will return next year for sure.
