vacation rental description
Our mountain retreat log cabin is located in a serene setting on the shore of Hogback Lake. We're located a 5 miles from the town of Cashiers and a short distance from Highlands. Enjoy exploring these small towns with their many shops and restaurants.
Our rustic cabin has 3 large bedrooms and 3 baths. The cabin is located at the end of a dead end street with no immediate neighbors. We have 2 covered decks for enjoying the wildlife and peaceful surroundings, stainless kitchen appliances, satelitte tv, and dvd.
There is a canoe for your use to explore Hogback Lake. The lake is well stocked with trout, bass, catfish and brim so if you like to fish bring your fishing gear !
Sit and enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the covered deck while listening to the sounds of nature and watching the many birds who frequent the area. You might even see one of our local otters playing in the lake.
The cabin is equipped with the following; DishTV, DVD player, stainless steel kitchen appliances, outdoor grill, linens provided, dishwasher, , covered decks with outdoor dining and 2 canoes. Brochures are provided for suggestions of things to do while on your mountain vacation.
Pets are permitted with prior approval of owner.

When staying at our cabin, you might want to take advantage of our local amenities which are about 2 miles from the cabin. The amenities include; a 18 hole golf course, a 9 hole golf course, pilates and yoga classes, a gym for working out, outdoor and indoor pools, sauna, outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi, massages, game room, pool tables, internet access, gem mining, summer tubing down the mountain, miniature golf, boat rentals, skiing and snow tubing in the winter. There are also several very good restaurants in this area for casual or fine dining.

Within a short distance from the cabin you might want to try some of the local mountain activities which include; hiking, kayaking, waterfalls, antiques, gem mining, casino, tubing down rivers, ziplining, white water rafting, rides on a power boat, shopping, live theater, The Smoky Mountain railway, festivals, flea markets, concerts or just exploring the nearby towns. We'd be happy to assist you in making reservations for your activities.
