Isle of Ours in Cayuga Lake

This cozy efficiency cabin, affectionately called "The Isle of Ours", is located on Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes. It is nestled into the side of a hill on our secluded 45 acres of woodland with a quarter mile of beach frontage. Our cottage road and beach are shared by only 3 other cottages. The lake view from the cabin deck, with it's canopy of pine trees, make this vacation spot very unique...you see nothing but lake. Many of our tenants return each year to enjoy the pristine surroundings and serenity of the 'Isle of Ours'. Features include adjacent parking, your own flat beach w/ a small dock and campfire pit, a large deck with picnic table, deck chairs and charcoal grill. Activities include swimming, fishing and hiking our private woodland trails or the nearby State Park trails. Our family-owned rental cabin is near Ithaca (be sure to check out the many gorges and the Ithaca Farmer's Market), Cornell University (the campus and "Plantations" offer a wonderful walk/hike), the Finger Lakes Wine Trail (8 wineries within 30 minutes!)and four State Parks, including Taughannock State Park (2 miles down the road) and it's famous 212 foot water falls. Trumansburg village amenities (including the best soft ice cream in the Finger Lakes!) are five minutes away.

You will enter the "Isle of Ours" from a covered porch and walk into the living area with a vaulted ceiling. This area has two twin beds with large pillows that form a 'sectional couch' by day and a king size bed at night. Our cabin has an open floor plan (approximately 25' by 20') w/ wood floors, walls and ceiling. There is an antique dining table in front of the corner picture window overlooking the deck (12' X 20') and the lake. The cabin has a 'reading corner', an antique wardrobe and a small chest of drawers. The kitchenette has a back door and large window overlooking the woods and ravine. We provide basic kitchen items i.e. full refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, large toaster oven, electric hotplate, pots/pans, and table settings for four. You will need to provide TOWELS / PILLOWS/SHEETS and BLANKETS. There is local phone service, which will provide dial up service, if you need your computer.

Come swim (we recommend water shoes), hike and fish just a few steps away from your cabin. Explore the nearby State Parks and wineries or just relax with a good summer "read" on your private deck with nothing but pine trees and lake to look up at.

Our rates are based on single or double occupancy. We rent from Sunday (2pm) to Sunday (10am). Occasionally, and only in the off season, we rent our cabin for the weekend with a $300 minimum charge. Call or write for rates and availability for extended stays in the Spring and Fall. We regret that we cannot rent to couples with children or handicapped individuals, as the terrain surrounding this cabin is not conducive to their needs.
