Ila's Lake Cottage in Acadia

A warm welcoming 2 story cottage on George's Pond with a stunnig view of the lake and Cadillac mountain from your living room, master bedroom and deck.  This 4 bedroom (1 king, 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twins & an exrta rollaway) home is a great place to kick back and learn why they say " Maine-the way life should be".  Enjoy the stillness of morning mist rising from the lake, soft summer breezes and the haunting songs of the resident loons. The fishing's fun, the swimming's refreshing and boating just plain relaxing, so bring your "toys".  Have young children?  There is a large yard for them to play in, trees for playing hide and seek, ducks to feed, fish to catch, and beach toys to play with.       

     With Ellsworth only 10 minutes away for shopping and dining, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is just 25 minutes away, and several picturesque coastal towns 15-30 minutes away, you can choose from an abundance of exciting, entertaining activites during the day, then return "home" to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet.  This is a wonderful starting point for several interesting days trips like a tour on a working lobster boat or a trip to Campabello Island and the Roosevelt Cottage.  Smoking is not allowed but well behaved pets are always welcome.

This area has an abundance of activites year round.  Here are just a few idea's for some fun and interesting things to do.

Take a cruise-you can go whale watching in Bar Harbor or take a working lobster boat tour out of Milbridge.

Explore Acadia National Park- hike or bike different trails or watch the sunset from the top of Cadillac Mountain.

Swimming/fishing/boating in the lake or one of the many local bays.

Visit some of the local museums or check out the oceanarium

Golf or miniature golf

Take a day trip to a local island-take the ferry to the island and your bike for riding around the island

Bird Watching

Shopping at the LL Bean outlet store or other stores in Ellsworth

$800 a week May, June and September, October

We will rent by the night in May, June, Sept and Oct.

July and Aug are by the week only

$100 cleaning fee

$150 security deposit required at booking.  Deposit will be refunded within 10 days once home is checked by cleaning company for damages.  Full payment required 30 days before check-in or if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival payment must be received  at booking or upon arrival.  If paid on arrival must be either a bank check, money order or cash.

Cancelations less that 30 days in advance will be responsible for half of the amount owed and cancelations less than 14 days in advance will be responsible for the full amount unless we are able to re-rent the cottage.  If that is the case then the full amount will be refunded less a $50 handling fee.

$50 pet deposit
