Vacation Rental Description

A fully equipped home with a king bed and full private bath in  
the master bedroom.  The second bedroom also has a full private bath  
and comes with a day bed that can be made into a king, or two  
twins.  A Kiva fireplace is located in the spacious living room that  
opens onto a lovely sun-drenched private patio. There is a half-bath  
off the kitchen/dining area. A sofa bed is in a corner of the TV  
area. Ample parking is located directly in front of townhouse. In  
just seven minutes you can walk to the Plaza, the center of art,  
history and cuisine in the beautiful and historic center of this  
lovely city.  In the other direction, you can be in the countryside  
by car in  minutes, on your way quickly to numerous natural  
attractions outside the city boundaries. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

This townhouse is used 3 to 6 months a year by the owners, and it  
reflects the fact that this is not someone's income property, but,  
rather, someone's home.  Comments from guests often refer to the  
special "feel" of the place -- as one recent guest put it, "It is  
truly a wonderful symbol of what Santa Fe stands for - warm,  
comfortable, and relaxing." The Colburns welcome you to use their  
videos, CDs, books, and kitchen staples while being their guests.   
They welcome your calls and emails with questions about their home,  
or their favorite Santa Fe places.  There are television sets with  
built-in video cassette players in each bedroom.  In a corner of the  
living area is a 29-inch television set with built-in cassette and  
DVD player.   

Activities and Attractions

It is an easy walk to most museums and art galleries, including  
Canyon Road, and many of the city's great restaurants (one,  
Santacafe, is a three-minute walk away). It takes only  
a few more minutes to walk to the Plaza. To reach the Santa Fe ski  
slopes, just go to the corner, turn left, and head up the mountain.  
In 20 minutes you are there. The world-famous Taos ski  
area is 70 miles north, about a 90-minute drive and a wonderful day  
trip. Ten Thousand Waves, one of the most highly rated spas in  
the country, is also around the corner, about 5 minutes by car. If  
daily outdoor exercise is part of your schedule, Fort Marcy Park is  
across the street.  It has two newly resurfaced tennis courts, a  
walking track, and a jogging "vitacourse."
