Brief Description: A truly unique getaway! This three bedroom guest cabin is on an unbelievably beautiful 30 acres in Big Sky. From the home, endless hiking opportunities await. A peaceful setting where you can enjoy mountain views and observe visiting wildlife, yet head out to a fantastic dinner in Big Sky in just minutes.

General location: Located just 5 to 10 from Big Sky Mountain Village, and about one hour drive from Yellowstone National Park, or the fun college town of Bozeman. Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport is just over an hour away.

Bedrooms and bathrooms: There are three bedrooms and three full bathrooms in the cabin. Guests will find a queen size bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a twin over double bunk bed in the third bedroom. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The room with two twin beds is on the main level of the home, and has a television with satellite service.

Kitchen: There is a wonderful kitchen, with a microwave, gas range and oven, dishwasher and good cooking ware and serving ware - basically, everything you could need! The kitchen has a counter island which separates the kitchen from the dining and living area.

Dining and living room: The dining room table will seat up to six people comfortably, and is open to the cozy living room. The living room has a rock fireplace (gas-fired). There is a television with satellite, VCR, and a small stereo system. The furnishings and artwork have a tasteful, western touch.

Setting, acreage, views: The cabin is a guest house on 30 very private acres. The main house is within sight of the guest cabin, although outdoor areas are situated with privacy in mind. Lone Peak Mountain dominates the view to the south.

Outdoor amenities: There is plenty of outdoor seating and a gas grill available for those outdoor meals. Follow the heated walkway out the back door to your own private hot tub and hopefully, some views of the northern lights!

This is a green home! Beehive Basin Cabin is in our Green Homes program – an effort by Mountain Home and our homeowners to be a bit gentler on our beautiful landscape. To be a Green Home, a property must utilize compact fluorescents for at least 75% of its lighting, supply recycled fiber paper products, use gentler cleaning products, and offer recycling bins for guest use.
What's included: You’ll receive a complimentary security deposit waiver so you don’t have to pay a security deposit. Your home is completely prepped before you arrive and fully cleaned after your stay – at no charge to you. For guests who stay twelve nights or more, a weekly cleaning is also included. Additional housekeeping can all be arranged with a bit of prior notice. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, include good quality bed and bath linens, staples like paper goods, laundry and dish washing supplies, and our signature Mountain Home hand soaps. You just bring your gear and the groceries!

Other details: To ensure that all of our homes are maintained to the highest standards for our guests, no smoking is allowed in any of our homes and no pets are allowed on our properties without prior written approval from Mountain Home.

Activities nearby: From the back door, guests can head out for a short stroll or an all day adventure up the Beehive Basin area. Rafting, fishing and even more hiking and biking opportunities are just 20 minutes away in the Gallatin Canyon. Nordic and alpine skiers alike have some of the best ski areas in the west just minutes from the cabin. Yellowstone Park is just over an hour away. There's so much to do!
