Lake Chelan is centrally located in Washington State just 3 hours from Seattle or Spokane. This pristine 50 mile lake features many recreational and scenic opportunities. Golf, hiking, fishing, boating, jet –skiing, sailing, swimming, playing at the waterslides, or skate park or relaxing at the beach are some of the many summer recreational opportunities. In the winter snowmobiling and both downhill and cross country skiing are available in Chelan.
This region has also recently been designated as an official AVA and features 15 wineries. Relax and sample premiere wines. Tour the vineyards. Meet the winemakers. Many of these wineries feature award winning restaurants or picnic areas. Stroll through the town of Chelan. Visit the many quaint shops and eat at its many restaurants.
At the upper end of the lake are the communities of Stehekin and Holden Village. These communities are not connected by local roads. The Lady of The Lake is a boat that makes daily trips to these communities. This cruise on the Lady will fill your day with scenic lake adventure, history and a chance to see how people live year round in this remote wilderness sans telephone and television connection to the rest of the world.
