Vacation Rental Description

5 Bedroom, 2 1/2 bath bay house with pier approx. 1 mile south of 
Grand Hotel in Point Clear, AL.

Sleeps 12 comfortably in main house including a Bunk room for kids.  
Newly re-modeled with fresh paint throughout the interior.  All new 
appliances.  Central heat and air.  Large bay windows to catch the 
bay breezes.  Beach, deck, and pier.  Excellent for summer vacations 
or for those wishing to explore the Point Clear and Fairhope area.

My grandfather built this house we call SAGWAH in the 40’s.  I spent 
my childhood here and have many fond memories of lazy summer days 
filled with jubilees, crabbing, water skiing, and boating. 

The name Sagwah comes from a story that my grandfather used to 
tell the children on summer nights.  He would gather them in the 
living room just after dark and put “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on 
the record player.  Then, he would throw a handkerchief into the 
center of the room.  In time, the handkerchief would begin to twitch 
and then rise slowly and dance to the music.  He said this was the 
ghost of Sagwah, an old Indian chief that could be summoned from the 
dead.  Most of the children ran home in fear.  And I still meet 
sixty-five year-old men that complain to me about their boyhood 
experience at SAGWAH with my grandfather's handkerchief ghost. Dad 
says my grandfather had a string rigged somewhere on the ceiling.  
If you look below at the third picture, the handkerchief would dance 
between those columns just behind the sofa (there didn't used to be 
a sofa there).  I've searched the ceiling for the markings of his 
trick, but I still don't know how he did it.

***Please note that your vacation is not secure until 1/2 the 
payment is received. All rentals must be paid in full one month 
prior to arrival. 
***We have two week in advance cancelation policy. If cancelation 
occurs after the two weeks prior to arrival 1/2 of the full rent 
will be kept. If we can find a replacement for that time, 100% of 
the money will be returned.

Vacation Rental Rates

**In-Season (June 1 - August 31)- $1800 weekly
Monthly $5,800 utilities included + $150 cleaning fee + $500 deposit
**May and Sept. - $3000 per month or $1800 weekly 

**Regular-Season (Oct. 1st - April 30th)-
Daily(3 night min.)- 3 nights - $850 + $100 cleaning fee
Weekly- $1250 + $100 clean-up fee
Monthly- $2,500 + $300 deposit

*Long term- (3 months +)-  inquire
