vacation rental description

The Lake Shasta Vacation House is newly acquired, totally renovated and new to the vacation rental market. 2009 was the first year of rentals.

The property is a very roomy 2,000 s.f. family vacation rental on a third of an acre lot, with a game room in the garage and an on-site (off the street) easy access boat or trailer pad. This completely renovated and remodeled resort house is located in the quaint community of Lakehead and backs to Shasta Trinity National Forest Land with a private gate to the Forest Service trail directly to the Lake. There is nothing between you and the Lake except your desire to get there!

The house sleeps 10 in very comfy beds in bedrooms and can accommodate two-three additional deluxe queen air mattresses (provided) in the master suite and the living room area as well as tents in the back yard.

The garage has been converted into a game room with a pool table, foosball table, ping pong, electronic shoot around, gaming TV, dart boards and more!

Large shaded private deck looks directly at the Lake as do all bedrooms and main living areas. The Lake is full this year and the views are spectacular. the walk to the waters edge is about three minutes. The patio area is set up for outdoor meals or relaxing. Decorated with table, chairs, bar, ice chest and two barbeque's, one charcoal and one propane.

You can tie your boat to the shore or rent a slip and transport to our built- in off-street pad. Don’t have a boat? Plenty of reasonable rentals for everything from jet-skis, ski boats, fishing boats and patio boats are available locally. Don’t want to boat? Relax by the shore in the Doney Creek cove in a lounge chair, or float out on the warm water in the peaceful warm water in this quiet cove. Fishing is great in the cool of the morning or evening.

Our property is family owned and operated. See our rate schedule and calendar for more info. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover or bank cashier checks 14 days in advance.

Responsible renters must be at least 25 years old and present on the property during the rental period. Well behaved dogs are welcome with an additional deposit (leash laws are enforced in the community). This is a Non-smoking house but there are designated areas to smoke outside.

traveler reviews for this shasta lake house rental

love this shasta lake retreat!

krambox (bay area, ca)
Review submitted: September 4, 2012   Date of arrival: September 9, 2011

My friends and I have stayed at this awesome lake house for three years now. Every year, it's been great, and it's never a question where we're going to stay when we plan our next trip back to Shasta Lake.

Here are some of the things we really like about it:

* Nice quiet street, walk down to the lake, quick access to the marina

* Very well maintained interior, nice bathrooms, bedrooms, and plenty of space for adults and kids

* Great kitchen -- has everything you need to cook up a storm

* Fun stuff in the garage -- ping pong and other games keep everyone busy

On top of it, the owners are very responsive and attentive. They want to make sure you have a great experience, and have invested in their property to make sure the experience is a great one. Highly recommend checking the place out and considering it for your next stay at Shasta Lake! (Just don't rent it on the weekend when we stay there! Ha!)

Fabulous vacation rental!

This is one of the nicest vacation homes we have stayed at! This home has every amenity you could want during your stay. The kitchen was well stocked with any item we needed, the linens and towels were great quality, the furniture was new and comfortable, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept on. The pictures of this home don't do it justice! From the moment we arrived we felt at home and comfortable. The bonus room was a great place for the kids to enjoy their time, with a number of games and toys available.
Karen and Jacqueline were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, providing us with a very detailed welcome letter and answering any questions we had. Our 3 families loved this home and are looking forward to returning in the future. We brought our boat with us and had plenty of room for trailer parking. Our family also loved the easy access to the lake, just a short walk down to the cove where we were anchored. We highly recommend this vacation home!

Great Vacation Home

What a great place to spend with friends and family. There was plenty of room for 3 families and a dog. Karen provided everything you might need just like home. The cove was great for just hanging out on rafts and playing in the water. We even had the pleasure of meeting Karen's Mom, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece. (thanks again for all the help!)
Would recommend this great vacation home to all.
