Herrington Cottage - Lower Scott Lake in South Haven

Escape to the perfect family getaway at our private lake house with almost an acre of land on an all sports lake in southwest Michigan -- only 2 hours from Chicago and 3 hours from Detroit. Our cottage has 2 bedrooms, a full bath (shower only), a fully equipped kitchen and a relaxing living room with beautiful views of Lower Scott Lake.  Relax on the deck, take a nap on the hammock, play on the swingset, or pick some blueberries by the lake. Try your hand at fishing, take a swim, or explore the lake with our paddle boat and canoe.  For a break, head to South Haven or Saugatuck - less than 15 miles away - and enjoy the local shops, art galleries, restaurants and public beaches on Lake Michigan.  Explore the many antique shops along the Blue Star highway, but don't forget to stop by Fenn Valley Winery for a wine tasting, Cranes Orchard for some fresh fruit, Dutch Farms for a delicious pie, and then head back and grill out on our 30 foot deck overlooking the lake.  Come and enjoy our hidden gem with your family or close friends before the summer ends!!

Summer weekly rate $900 (7 nights), weekends $550 (3 night minimum) and nightly rate $200 (May thru Sept - holiday weekends not included).  Fall, Winter and Spring weekly rate $650 (7 nights), weekends $250 (2 night minimum) and nightly rate $150 (Oct thru April).

50% deposit is due within 10 days of reserving to hold the week.  The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to arrival date along with $400 security deposit. The security deposit is returned within 2 weeks of departure.

We will provide a rental agreement at time of reservation.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm EST (Sunday for weekly) and check-out is 12:00 am EST the following day (Sunday for weekly).

No smokers and no pets.
