Amazing Waterfront Retreat in Sebastian

This Florida waterfront house sits on 6 secluded acres of land with 1000 feet along the unspoiled Sebastian River. The house is 12 years old with over 2000 sq-ft of living space. It is located in Indian River County. It is just north of Vero Beach, in the quaint little town of Sebastian. In it, you will enjoy Florida riverfront living at its natural best.

It has been newly painted and furnished with every effort to make it comfortable. This riverfront home is elevated and has all of its living area upstairs. It has hardwood floors, carpeting in the bedrooms, and a ceiling fan in each room. Each room has a panoramic view of the river, with sliding glass doors that open onto an enclosed screen porch that runs the full length of the house. The porch has a weber grill with a vent overhead, 3 ceiling fans, patio table with chairs, and 2 rocking chairs. The living room has a fireplace, 42" plasma screen TV, DVD, CD and stereo FM and satellite dish. It's a great living space.

The kitchen has dishes, cutlery, cookware, microwave, dishwasher, toasteroven, blender and coffeepot. There is also a washer and dryer and a vacuum cleaner. The very large master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed, walk-in closet and private bath with shower. The guest room has a queen sized bed and large closet. The second bath has bathtub with shower. The third bedroom has a desk, treadmill and convertible double bed/sofa. The house has a double garage with garage door opener. A small room off of the garage has a convenient dumb waiter. This house has everything and is very comfortable and cozy.

There are several public golf courses in the area, with the closest being right across the street.   Fishing is big in this area.  You can try fishing off the dock or you can hire a guide that will take you out for the day on a boat.

There are several river parks within a few minutes drive. The closest beach is Wabasso Beach, and there is no fee.  North on A1A, 12 miles is Sebastian Inlet State Park.  There is a $5 fee for the day.  It's a good beach for surfing, fishing from the jetty or just sunbathing.  Going south from Wabasso Beach, you will end up in Vero Beach, and they have a park on the beach, restaurants and shopping.

Kennedy Space Center is north about 1 1/2 hours.

Disney World in Orlando is approximately 1 1/2 hours drive.

This place is amazing.  This stilt home is just 25' from the waters edge.  With all the living space on the second floor, it's just like living in a treehouse.  I love rocking on the back porch, with a good book, listening to the wind in the trees, watching the river flow and the squirrels scurrying about.  I'm not much of a fisherman, but throughout the day you will see people drift fishing from their small boat.  Bring your fishing pole and you can try your luck at fishing off  the dock.  If fishing isn't for you, maybe kayaking is.  It's a beautiful trip up the river, and you might even see a manatee.  If you want a beautiful, peaceful setting, and want relief from the cold, look no further, you have found your house.

The rate is negotiable if staying for longer than 2 months. $500 deposit.
