Based on the couple’s travels to over 50 countries, and incorporating an elegant yet minimalistic design approach we call Tropical Elegance, the house was designed for a luxurious vacation and for understated entertainment. Each bedroom has its own distinct personality and stunning views. With the open air living room as its focal point along with its adjacent wrap-around infinity pool, our guests find it very difficult to actually leave to go enjoy the beaches and the rainforests and their abundant activities. From the living room, family room, or any of its rooms and adjoining decks, you can literally lounge from sunrise until a starry or moonlit night and never tire of its views and tranquility. You can see an amazing variety of birds, including toucans and parrots, and of course, enjoy the ocean view where you can see almost the entire southern Costa Rican coastline. And the fabled Costa Rican sunsets are indescribable. 

From Casa Mar y Luna you will enjoy dramatic sunrises to the southeast, as well as some of Costa Rica's most fabulous Pacific sunsets to the northwest.
