Hawks Nest Resort is a young Native American(privately owned)
specializing in resoration of log homes and historical presevation
near Lake Kegonsa, Wisconsin,
less than 15 minutes from the capital City of Madison.
If you are looking for shiny pergo oak floors and a mancured
yard,this is not it.
We are Rustic, with all the converts of the outdoors/inside.Homes are
now 8 years old.
This is not like renting a motel or hotel room ,you are not bothered
once you have arrived and given your presentation unless you have a
emergency.
Our featured home (pictured)with fireplace is a beautifully spacious
three-bedroom wrap around deck ,central air is where your host will live starting in Sept . This property will no longer be availiable for rent .               Next door is our featured two-bedroom, two-bathroom log home with a wrap-around deck and fireplace. That home sleeps 2-8 people.

Our guests enjoy the close proximity to an abundance of outdoor
recreation within the log homes' aesthetic surroundings. The
property is nestled adjacent to state-owned land that offers calming
walks through the woods and room for family gatherings around a
bonfire. Firewood is available for purchase at $8.50 a  bundle and
must be paid in cash only at the time of check in.                                                                                                                        A A list of resources is provided to our guests of nearby facilities and rental
companies. While fine dining and lake access can be found within
100 yards of your front door, the property offers the seclusion
necessary for a day, a weekend or a full week of wooded privacy
amongst its natural surroundings.   

  We also rent during the winter by
the month at $2,500 plus utilities Jan,Feb.and March only at our Kestrel Home.

Enjoy Springers, a lakefront restaurant and bar on Lake Kegonsa,
which has fabulous food and drinks.

Our guest must plan accordingly for larger parties and longer stay on
paper goods.

Stoughton has great winter recreational options. Stoughton's Mandt
Community Center offers indoor ice skating and skate rentals. Lake
Kegonsa offers great ice fishing and area snowmobile trails connect
with hundreds of miles of trails throughout the region.
Kegonsa State Park has some of the best cross-country sking trails
in the area. Don't miss the Candlelight Ski, an event that happens
on the second weekend in January and February.
Winter is a wonderful time to visit the Midwest's most beautiful
small town, Stoughton, Wisconsin. Stoughton's historic downtown
offers fabulous shopping with specialty stores with art, jewelry,
antiques, home decor, clothing and collectibles. Enjoy great
restaurants, including cozy diners, excellent supper clubs and our
new and unique restaurant with singing servers!

We charge peak rates for holidays .   

We do have a last min.discount if property is still availiable 24-48 hours before your intended stay and a 05% discount for cash payments. THIS DISCOUNT IS OFFERED OFF THE PEAK RATE
