Hidden Gem in Santa Monica: The Cottage Bed & Breakfast

I can't imagine a more tranquil and idyllic place to vacation in Los Angeles than at this most wonderful beachfront haven in Santa Monica. This historical property which has been tastefully and impeccably restored - is full of charm. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience where my wife and I enjoyed sitting on the veranda and watching the sailboats in the ocean pass by as seagulls soared above. We soaked up the sunshine every day and listened to the light rustling of the palm trees which lined Ocean avenue - mere footsteps from the soft sandy beaches where we went swimming every morning. I've never felt more rested and relaxed before in my life! In the few days we spent at the cottage, I felt as if I had taken a much needed month long vacation! I'd come back here in a heartbeat. The Cottage Bed & Breakfast is the first and only B&B in Santa Monica, but it is also the perfect alternative to the run of the mill hotel chains nearby which only offer generic hospitality for the masses. I felt like a local while staying at the Cottage and the kitchen was fantastic too - we cooked every night while watching the sunset and enjoying a nice bottle of wine. The accommodations of this place are just what the doctor ordered! Kudos to the family that restored this special slice of heaven! -Larry

Great Views, Great Ammenities, Great EVERYTHING

Once a year my family rents a home in California for a week. Typically we've rented in Manhattan Beach or Malibu, but decided to try Santa Monica after stumbling across this property and am very pleased we did.

The location is perfect. The front door opens onto the beach and you're only a short walk to the heart of Main Street. While central to almost everything, you're also not too close to the tourist-ridden 3rd street, allowing you to enjoy serenity of the incoming waves.

The amenities are second to none. The house has been recently renovated and no expense was spared. The owners were extremely friendly and committed to ensuring are vacation was everything we wanted it to be.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

not only is it right on the beach, but this beautifully renovated cottage is spacious and had everything that i wanted/needed and more!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
