The Roe Family Beach House in Vero Beach

Our house is a classic example of what most people think a beach house should be!  It is NOT a rental property.  It is a family beach house owned by several families - offered to other families for a once-in-a-lifetime memory-making experience for families and friends!!  You can even hear the surf!

You can expect a very traditional rustic beach cottage on 5 acres of exclusive private native reserve between Vero Beach and Fort Pierce.  Our house is a spacious rough-hewn cedar structure less than 50' from the beach! Did we mention.......you can even hear the surf!

Perfect for any age family or group of friends.  Comfortably sleeps 12-16 people. Handicapped and infant accessories.

Elevated wrap-around covered deck with benching and private boardwalk to the beach - outdoor showers and lazy hammocks - "great" kitchen and memorable gathering spots - all the amenities you need, just bring yourself - we even have a library!  You can even hear the......okay, you get the idea....we are RIGHT ON THE WATER!

Beach Amenities: Beach towels, beach chairs, beach tables, large beach umbrellas, beach toys, boogie boards, buckets for crab catching and shell collecting. Outdoor hot showers are the favorite spot for anyone coming off the beach. 

On the deck: Pawley Island hammock, rocking chairs, large gas grill, gates for keeping pets and kids on the deck;

Kitchen: Refrigerator-freezer, large capacity washer-dryer, dishwasher, icemaker, stove, food disposal, dual coffee pot, coffee grind, blender, food processor, mixer, cooking, baking,serving, dishware and silverware for large groups.

We have a "lend-replace" policy at the house which enables guests to arrive without purchasing spices, condiments, laundry and shower soaps, paper products and gas canisters.  We only ask that you replace that which becomes depleted during your stay.  Many of our guest say that this is one of the most pleasant amenities offered..........just like home!

Private quarters: four private bedroom/living quarters (see website floorplan), including two king size beds, one queen, one double, and six bunk beds; 5 baths, including marble shower/tubs in back bedrooms; childs crib, handicapped accessible bathroom, and portable potty. Cable television in all four living quarters.

Other:

Private beach access boardwalk, outside hot water showers, wireless internet, phone access in all bedrooms, parking for up to 10 cars.

Most people arrive and never leave.  There is so much safe fun for kids to do on the beach, in full view of parents, who can cook, read, and relax without being out on the beach.

Water and beach sports are where the action is.  A Navy Seal Museum, Round Island boat ramp and nature center are just a few miles south on A1A.  Shopping, golf and some of the best fishing in the world are within 30 minutes of us.

Shopping:  Two prime outlet malls are within 30 minutes driving as well as the Vero Beach Mall, which has most brand stores including Lowes, Office Depot, Sears and a movie theatre.  Boutique shops in Vero Beach and Orchid Island are just up the road on A1A and are very upscale.  Miracle Mile just over the bridge in Vero has many designer shops such as Ann Taylor, Chicos, Bebe, etc. (The best shoe store in the world is there too....Kemps!)

Food and Restaurants:  Publix and Albertsons are within 5 miles of the house.  Convenience stores are a matter of minutes away.  Some of Florida's best restaurants are less than 10 minutes away.......Ocean Grill, The Patio, Siam Orchid, and many others.  Cravings Ice Cream Shop is a must in the Vero Beach shopping district.

Golf and Fishing:  Many golf courses in the area invite visitors.  The most popular is the PGA just 45 minutes away.  Charter fishing excursions out of Fort Pierce offer some of the best fishing in the world.  We offer to help book our visitors for either of these activities, if you would like.
