It just doesn't get any better than this. Outstanding views from your private deck. Finch-One is the closest unit to the clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts. Right out the door, About 50 yards to end edge of Pisgah National Forest and trailhead to Mt Mitchell and other interconnecting trails. Beautifully appointed cottage (a duplex condo) with wood burning fireplace, free wireless access. Great trout fishing within a mile, Mt Mitchell Golf course within 2 miles, and the Blue Ridge Parkway only 3 miles away.

Clubhouse back entrance is just about 50' from the unit, and has gift shop, meeting rooms and sitting rooms, billiard room, fax machine, soft drinks, etc.
Heated swimming pool is open May through September (depending on weather).
Also this unit is the closest unit to the hiking trail that goes up into the Pisgah National Forest, a trail that goes all the way to Mt Mitchell, the highest peak in the eastern US. Branch trails also lead to Higgins Bald, and Briar Bottom Recreation Area.

- Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Park - Operated by Pisgah National Forest, Hiking trails, terrific swimming hole in summer, RV and tent camping, tubing in the river, great trout fishing in the South Toe River.
- Mount Mitchell Golf Course - Rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest one of the best public courses in the mountains, centered on the South Toe River which comes into play on almost every fairway on the back nine.
- Black Mountain Campground - Within the Pisgah National Forest and along the South Toe River watershed on Mount Mitchell's eastern slope. Hunting, Fishing, waterfalls, hiking trails, RV dump station, RV and tent camping.
- Setrock Waterfalls - located at Black Mountain Campground, about 1/2 mile hike, cascading waterfall of over one hundred feet.
- Little Switzerland -- quaint shops, great restuarants
- Roaring Fork Waterfall - only 1/2 mile from Mount Mitchell Golf Course, one of the most spectacular falls in the area, and a real hidden gem. Its 1/2 mile hike up a forest road, nearly level hike.
