vacation rental description
This home is for beach people. It has 3 bedrooms (with 2 queen sized beds and 2 twins) and 3 bathrooms. The office has a futon that makes into a comfortable queen sized bed. The house is across the street from homes on the beach and is only 200 feet from stairway access to the beach. The backyard has a shower, a charcoal grill, two tables that seat six each, under a wisteria covered arbor. The dining room has chairs for 8 and the breakfast room has chairs for 6. The kitchen is fully supplied with plates, cups, glasses, silverware for 16, along with serving pieces and pans for cooking. The living room has two sofas and a wet-bar. There are roll-down shades that you can see through but protect your eyes from the afternoon sun while waiting for the spectacular sunsets.

The house has wireless internet service and is wired to the two bedrooms and office downstairs. Telephone service is also on the Cable, so calls within the US are free. There are two TVs in the bedrooms connected to Time-Warner Cable and a 32" LCD TV upstairs with expanded HD and DVR service. There is a fax machine in the office, a DVD player and VCR on the TV in the den, music CDs and stereo equipment to play them in the living room. There is a washer and dryer for your use. The kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, food processor along with all the regulars; gas stove and oven and refrigerator.

The La Jolla Shores beach is one of the best in the world for surfing, swimming, body-surfing, boogie-boarding, tide-pooling, playing in the sand and just plain walking on the beach. There are six boogie-boards for you to enjoy. Kellogg Park is two blocks away, down the beach, and it has playgrounds, boardwalk and picnic areas on the beach and grass. The La Jolla Shores Village has many restaurants, fast food places, shops and rental businesses for bikes, surfboards, kayaks, diving equipment along with lessons and tours in the Cove. The La Jolla Shores Market is on Avenida de la Playa at La Jolla Shores Drive. The Birch Aquarium at Scripps is 1/2 mile away and The La Jolla Playhouse, which has performances year round is just a little further. La Jolla Village is less than two miles away and it has everything the big city has but in a quaint setting by the sea.
vacation rental rates
Summer rates are from Memorial Day through Labor Day and are $3,250 weekly. There is a 10.5% TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax) collected by the City of San Diego for rentals of less than one month; plus a $250 cleaning fee and a $500 refundable security deposit or you may buy insurance to cover your stay for $39.
