vacation rental description

6th row oceanside home only 1000 feet to beach access. You will feel like you are in a private resort with outdoor entertainment area complete with large (30x15') 8 foot deep pool with rock waterfall. A full second kitchen supports the outdoor area. The lower level also has 3 bedrooms (1 is a master w/private bath), laundry, 3 baths( 2 inside & 1 outside), and a game room. Mid-level offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths( 1 is a master bath w/soaking tub and private adjoining toddler/baby room) and deck access from every room. The upper level has an exquisite Greatroom w/hardwood floors, large well-stocked kitchen/dinning area and access to screen porch and large decks to take in beautiful views.

Nice house with unresolved issues

On the surface, the house was very nice.

Pros:
There was plenty of space and it was fully equipped.
The 3rd floor living room, dining room and kitchen was amazing.
It is a 6 minute walk to the beach.
It's a short drive to area attractions.
Plenty of space for cars.

Cons:
The internet connection did not work because the supplied password was invalid. We called for help, but never received a response.

The floor boards on the deck were popping up as well as the nails holding them down. My daughter ended up with slivers in her foot one day and my son had his foot punctured by a raised board the next.

We were supposed to receive pool service on Tuesday or Wednesday. We did not receive it. We called on Wednesday and were told they would be there, we called back and were told that they were there the day prior. The pool was dirty both days, if they came I don't know what they did.

Reading through the comments in guestbook in the house indicated that the above conditions have been an issue for some time and yet nothing has been done to fix them.

I highly recommend the area for a family vacation. If you need internet access and expect problems to be addressed...you may want to look elsewhere.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers
