25 miles north of Grand Rapids MN on scenic Hwy. 38 you will find our private north woods cabin with over 1500 feet of shoreline on Caribou Lake, in beautiful Chippewa National Forest. Caribou Lake is one of the clearest natural spring-fed lakes in Minnesota, with a clarity depth of 28’.
Our cabin sleeps up to 6 adults. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath with a tub. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, dining and living room. The living area has a flat screen Direct TV with DVD player and WIFI and unreal views of Caribou Lake. The upper deck offers a patio table and chairs and a stainless steel gas grill for your use.
Down the spiral staircase to the lower level there is a queen sofa bed, two twin beds, bath with shower, washer/dryer stacking combo, another flat screen Direct TV with DVD player, and walkout to the lake. We supply a host of books for great reading, board games for young and old. Bring your DVD collection!
In the yard next to the cabin you will find a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows, hot dogs and make s’mores. We furnish a canoe and a 14’ aluminum Lund boat equipped with a trolling motor. We have a dock and floating raft where you can enjoy amazing swimming in crystal clear Caribou Lake or just sit in the sun and listen to the loons.
Fall is a great time for hunting deer and grouse in this area. Snowmobile enthusiasts will enjoy the hundreds of miles of trails nearby.
5 miles north on Hwy. 38 in Marcell there is a full service bait/grocery store where you can get fishing/hunting licenses. They also have pizza, ice cream, video rentals and souvenirs. Don’t feel like cooking? There are some excellent places to eat at one of the many resorts in the area as well as at the Pine Cone Cafe. Marcell Community Church will welcome you for Sunday morning services and you can come as you are. There are also miles of ATV and hiking trails in the area.
Grand Rapids is only 30 minutes away from all your shopping needs and fun family activities. The downtown area has lots of unique and charming stores. Also very nearby are riding stables, golf courses, excellent restaurants and dining/supper clubs.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
