Nice Stay

Review submitted: July 23, 2014   Date of arrival: July 3, 2014

This trip was part relaxation and part house/land hunting as we hope to relocate to Asheville within next 1-2 years. Rather than staying in cramped downtown hotel, opted to rent a house this time as we wanted to bring our small dogs. A bit of a mixup re: bringing pets but was quickly resolved by owner. House advertised as Pet Friendly, but with prior approval (small pets only). Arrived at house and everything appeared consistent with pictures (not always the case). Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. No issues with TV. Brought own hotspot card so never tried internet connection. Driveway was not as bad (steep) as others indicated. Like Owner states, this is the mountains. Did not find the need to hit the gravel driveway with speed. The beds were super firm, which may not appeal to everyone. Third bedroom was locked but possibly due to our family headcount - only requiring 2 bedrooms. Close proximaty to downtown Asheville, BRP, and other sights within town. Long views are likely very nice in the winter. Deck was fantastic, both front and sides. Neighbor's dog kept walking around the deck area and side yard, but seemed friendly enough (just didn't trust him with our small dogs, so we kept them close). Overall, very nice stay and would consider staying again.

Great place to spend a week in the summer!

Review submitted: June 25, 2014   Date of arrival: June 15, 2014

This house is really as lovely as described and photographed. It was clean inside and out. The owner could not have been more hospitable and responsive. We have already recommended this home to others and are considering another stay ourselves. We (two adult couples) spent a full week. We enjoyed the porch most of all; it was peaceful and private. There was always a breeze, there was plenty of room to sit outside even during the afternoon thunderstorms, and supper cooked on the grill was simple and convenient to serve. We really did see hot air balloons drifting overhead! We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. We spent a day kayaking on the French Broad River - no whitewater but lots of relaxing and fun - and found the Asheville Adventure Rentals group very professional and helpful. We spent another full day at the arboretum enjoying the gardens and hiking through the natural areas. We enjoyed our meals at the Fig bistro in Biltmore Village and the Moose Café at the farmers' market and the WALK café in West Asheville.
Do not hesitate! Book this lovely house now while you can. We expect it to become a very popular destination!

Great deck & View

Review submitted: June 19, 2014   Date of arrival: June 7, 2014

We loved our time at this out of the way home. The Wi-Fi was fixed during our stay and we had no issues. We loved the house, it was very comfortable and quiet. Now the driveway--is a driveway in the mountains and 'slightly' steep. After a few times we had it down (or up).
