The Victoria Inn - Condo A in Ocean City

This fabulous, air conditioned, first floor unit sleeps 12 with two private entrances, a furnished front patio, beautiful courtyard, cable television, PlayStation II, games, wifi, 2 parking spaces & 6 beach tags (children under the age of 12 are not required to have beach tags).  Beginning January 2010, this unit will be 'handicap friendly', but NOT fully ADA handicap accessible.  There are no steps leading to the unit, & the large full bath will be retiled & repainted with a beautiful, new, roll-in tiled shower, comfort-height toilet with grab bars, & a unique vanity made from a vintage oak ice-box! The full eat-in kitchen is currently being renovated to include a new glass top stove, dishwasher with many options, refrigerator & new tile floor. We just purchased a lovely ice cream parlor set with black wrought iron chairs & solid oak tabletop.  The fully stocked kitchen also has a microwave, blender, coffee maker, mixer, toaster, crock pot, pancake griddle, pots & pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, & more.  What is pictured as the master bedroom on this site is being converted to a dining room with two exposed brick walls showcasing an antique fireplace mantle with an electric fireplace, a fabulous, antique ball and claw foot, rectangular oak table with 8 oak ladder-back chairs and an antique oak sideboard.  Note: the website will be updated with new photos as the renovations are completed which should be New Year's Eve 2009.  The kitchen adjoins our completely enclosed courtyard with seating for 40, pretty potted plants and hanging baskets, tiny white lights, a garden and a fountain.  This winter, we are repainting the remainder of the unit and new wall-to-wall carpet will most likely be installed on June 26, 2010! The family room is very comfortable with two sofas, a love seat, cable tv, & dvd player.

The bedrooms are air conditioned & arranged as follows: Bedroom A has one set of single bunks. Bedroom B has a queen bed.  Bedroom C has three sets of single bunks & a 25 inch cable tv - perfect for the kids!  Bedroom D has a double bed. This condo has one & a half baths, but from May through October two large, fully enclosed, 'outside' showers with dressing areas are available. All bedrooms will have cable tv by June 26, 2010.

Please note - the ceilings in this unit are relatively low, with a clearance of 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet, 6 inches, & a couple of bedroom doors have 6 foot clearances.   A gas grill is provided for your convenience, as well as a washer & dryer (both shared with Condos B and C - much smaller units sleeping 4 to 5 persons each).

This unit rents Saturday to Saturday during the summer.  We are frequently at the property in the off-season, so call or email us to schedule a visit.  We have 3 adjacent units available: a 2 BR, 1.5 bath condo (listing 56762), a 7 BR, 3 bath Victorian Home (sleeps 20 in the unit comprising the 3 floors above this condo, see listing #56760), & an efficiency with a kitchenette (see our site at njsummervacations.

THE FOLLOWING OFF-SEASON RATES APPLY TO FAMILIES & GROUPS OVER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS. A FULLY REFUNDABLE $300 SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE THE UNIT, & IS IN ADDITION TO THE RENTAL AMOUNT.

September Weekends: $350/night, 2 night min.
October Weekends: $325/night, 2 night min.
November & December Weekends, excluding holidays: $275/night, 2 night min, 3rd night is 50-percent off.
Thanksgiving & Christmas: $300/night, 3 night min, 4th night is half off.
January through March Weekends: $275/night, 2 night min, 3rd night is FREE!
April Weekends: $350/night, 2 night min, 3rd night is half off.
All mid-week stays (Monday - Thursday) save 10-percent.

PROM/GROUP RATES ARE PER PERSON, PER NIGHT: $40 from Sept to April, $50 - $65 in May & June + $50pp security. Senior weeks: $350 pp/week + $100pp security. Cleaning fee of $150 will be deducted from the security for all prom & senior week rentals. Photo ID is required. No Guests, no alcohol, no cigar or pipe smoking.  12 person min., 14 person max. for proms & senior weeks beginning May 21st; 10 person min. prior to May 21st.

Air conditioning, cable tv/dvd, wifi, PlayStationII and games, fully stocked kitchen, 6 beach tags, shared washer and dryer, lovely enclosed courtyard,  gas grill, two off-street parking spaces, two fully enclosed "outside" showers with dressing rooms, boogie boards, buckets and shovels.

We are located just one block to the beach, boardwalk, shuffleboard courts and beach volleyball.  We are a half block to the 12 tennis courts - 6 turf, 6 clay.  Note that a nominal fee is charged in the summer until 5:00 p.m.   A skate park is located one block away.  Full pads - elbow, wrist and knee, as well as helmets are required. Very reasonable daily and weekly fees apply.  Stroll our 2 mile boardwalk and find hundreds of shops, eateries (fudge, salt water taffy, ice cream, pizza, funnel cake, French fries, snow cones, popcorn, candy apples and more!), two amusement piers, mini-golf courses, movie theatres, gift shops, souvenirs, clothing stores, jewelry, a lovely Christmas shop, and much, much more.  Nearby, you can rent bikes to ride on the boardwalk.  At the bay, you can participate in many water sports including jet skiing, boating, deep sea fishing, whale and dolphin watching and more!  Within walking distance you will find many restaurants, several of which remain open year-round.  A few blocks away is Asbury Avenue, the shopping district of OC, with over 100 shops.  On summer Wednesdays, visit a fabulous farmer's market just three blocks from our home.  Once per week is Family Night on Asbury Avenue, and another night during the week is Family Night on the Boardwalk.  If quiet time is what you seek, just relax in our lovely courtyard amidst lovely hanging baskets and potted plants while enjoying the ocean breeze.

There is so much to do in Ocean City throughout the year: Street Rod (antique car show) Weekend, The Corvette Show, Airport Festival, MS Bikeathon, ALS Walk, Doo Dah Parade (for you hound dog fans), the Miss NJ and Junior Miss NJ Pageants, lots of arts and crafts shows, Halloween and Fall Festivals, First Night/New Year's Activities including theatre, concerts, musicians and much more!
