Morning Star Mountain Retreat in Windham

Morning Star mountain house is a magnificent chalet nestled just 2 minutes (1 mile) from the Windham family ski area and the spectacular Windham Country Club.  This championship 18-hole golf course is rated 3 1/2 stars in Golf Digest.  For the challenging skier, Hunter Mountain is just 10 minutes down the road.

The chalet is an ideal home for getting cozy with a book as a blazing fire warms you or for the enthusiastic sportsman, skier or golfer.  Young and old guests will enjoy the play area complete with lego's, barbie dolls and a huge assortment of table games.

It has all the comforts one can need and it can easily accommodate 10 guests with plenty of parking.

It has 3 private bedrooms and a loft with 4 futons, 3 full bathrooms, and a fully equiped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A full wrap around deck with outside dining/seating for 8 allows for glorious views of the mountain side while you barbecue on a roomy gas grill.

The lower level has been transformed into an entertainment center with a TV longe area, a professional ping pong table, foosball table and a card table that seats 8.

Free, full internet access is provided via a wireless router. Free Cable TV and Netflix service is available for viewing on all three levels.  Local and long distance phone service is provided for unlimited calls throughout the US.

Although you are on vacation, a washer and dryer with complimentary laundry detergents are available for your use.

Visit Thomas Cole’s historic home, Cedar Grove, in Catskill, NY.  Cole is the founder of the Hudson River School of Painters.

Windham Adventure Park offers a rock climbing tower, Bungee Trampoline, Mountain Invasion Paintball and Skateboarding.

Windham Country Club is an 18-hole public golf course located in the scenic Northern Catskills of New York State.  Designed in 1928 by Len Raynor from famed Cooperstown, the course was remodeled in 1964. Golf Digest rates Windham C.C. 3 1/2 stars, and a "must" play.  The course is scenic and challenging. The blue tees rate a modest 70.4 with a slope of 120. At 6005 yards, the course plays tougher than expected. Women, seniors, and juniors love the forward tees at 4,651 yards—the rating is 69.2 with a slope of 112.  Conditions are excellent, and the professional staff under their PGA pro, Brian Lowe, is friendly and knowledgeable.

Whether you rent for the week, or a long weekend, we look forward to having you as our guest.  All rates are for registered guest with a maximum limit of 10 guest.  Guest 11 through a maximum of 14 guests will be charged a one time fee ($75 per guest Skiing season and $25 for non-skiing season) for the entire stay.  Unregistered guest will incur a $150 charge per guest.
