vacation rental description
"A River Runs Through It":
From the moment you turn off the highway and wind your way along the woodland trail, across the little bridge that spans the rushing Hiawassee River, you know you’re on to something special. This is no ordinary vacation rental, no cookie-cutter cabin. This is going to be one of those getaways that live on in photos and memories forever. “River Reach” derives her name from the unique positioning of the rear deck, which overhangs the river with a built-in fire pit/grill. With over 100 feet of river front, you can literally drop a line, call in the trout, clean it and cook it right there: from the river to the frying pan in one fell swoop. What could be more convenient, or more FUN!
house rental amenities
"Interiors By Design":
The entire house has been completely remodeled inside & out, opening up the floor plan to a great room w/ masonry fireplace, distressed leather furniture & hardwood flooring. Here conversation flows easily between guests relaxing by the fire & those preparing a gourmet meal in the open Euro-style kitchen; A chef’s dream come true w/ custom designed cabinetry, granite counter tops, a large island / breakfast bar, an impressive array of commercial quality cookware, knives & utensils & appliances to rival any fine restaurant (there's even a cappuccino/espresso maker). Step down from the living room into the dining area located in a sparkling sun room that runs the entire length of the house. There’s ample seating for up to 8 at the table & 2 large buffets for ease of serving. Dining takes on a new dimension as you find yourself surrounded by tall shade trees, lush ferns, whimsical flagstone pathway & the noisy river, viewed through the wall of windows.
The Rushing River: The Perfect Soundtrack For A Blissful Night's Sleep!
The master suite, located on the main level has French doors opening out to a private balcony. Snuggle up in the massive King sized bed with 18" deep mattress, luxurious linens and lush tapestry comforter & pillows. The Romanesque master bath invites you to indulge yourself in the jetted Jacuzzi garden-style tub, flanked by a separate tiled shower. There’s a powder room and laundry just off the entry as well. Upstairs, there are 3 Queen bedrooms and 3 full baths with an inviting sitting room at the top of the stairway w/ overstuffed sofa, lighting & tasteful furnishings. With the added convenience of WiFi Internet, perhaps here is the best place to set-up your laptop & check your email. Altogether there are ample accommodations for up to 8 guests. The home has been lovingly & completely remodeled, sparing no expense & lavishly furnished throughout with rich lodge-style furniture & luxurious amenities to appeal to even the most discriminating guests. More than a place to stay, “River Reach” may just entice you to spend your entire vacation right here!
activities and attractions in Hiawassee Georgia
"So Near - Yet So Far Removed"
Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Hiawassee & 20 minutes from the scenic Alpine village of Helen, GA, this unique property is hidden away in a sleepy little settlement of homes in a well established, but private community. (Probably one of the best kept secrets in Hiawassee, heretofore). You'll enjoy the quiet serenity of the heavily wooded setting, rushing river, shady arbors, footpaths & trails, and best of all, you are still close to shopping, dining, entertainment, the GA Mountain Fairgrounds, Brasstown Bald (the highest point in GA) and all kinds of local attractions. There are at least 3 golf courses & several marinas in the area where you can rent a ski boat, jet skis, kayak, canoe or pontoon for a day on the lake at nearby Lake Chatuge, but if it's fishing you're looking for, you have only to step out your back door and drop a line from the deck overhanging the river to haul in your dinner; you can even clean it and cook it right there on the built-in fire pit.
