Horne Lake Retreat in Qualicum Beach

Come and get away from the hectic life of day to day living.  From the moment you walk in the door of this quaint cabin in the woods, you will feel all your worries being left behind.  The Cabin is set up from the lake, with 140 ' ft of water front below you.  As you look down the lake you see the glistening water, mountains and tree surround you.  The interior of the cabin is completely wood, giving you that real cabin feeling, yet you are only 15 minutes to town to gather your groceries or liquid  beverages and escape back to paradise.

You can sit or stand on the deck and watch the kids play in the water, watch the sunset go down  with a glass of wine or enjoy a cup of coffee as you watch the sun come up; or wander down to the dock and enjoy all this from the bench on the dock.  Maybe even try your hand at fishing.

This has been our salvationover the years to get down to what is really real in life.  Nature, family or quiet time is all fulfilled here.

This lovely Cabin has 2 bedrooms.  The one  room has a double bunk with a single above; a dresser, desk and a open window to enjoy looking over the lake from the top bunk.

Master bedroom, enjoys a queen bed, wardrobe and vanity.  Both bedrooms have log beams crossing through the ceiling, further adding to the charm of this 650 suare foot cabin.  The living room enjoys two couches, a comfy chair and a wonderful wood-stove, that keeps you toasty and warm on those chilly nights.

Kitchen has open seating looking into the living room and a large window to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. Propane stove, fridge and lights.  Lights & VCR/Tv powered by generator is available.(at extra charge)

Bathroom has flush toilet and hot running water for shower.

Outside has a lovely grassed sitting are up top with wood stove and lovey wooden rocking bench to enjoy the view, or relax in the hammock and read that book you never had time for; maybe even rest your eyes in the quiet tranquil space of nature.

Kayaks available along with some water toys.  Dock and boat lift for your boat. ( Please inquire as to the weights and costs for these)

BBQ available and near the water is a fire pit for campfires.( weather permitting for the use of fires.  Fire restrictions may apply) 

Boating, Fishing, skiing, tubeing, Kayaking, hiking, and bike riding ( no Motor bikes or quads allowed)

Visit the "FAMOUS " Horne Lake Caves  at the end of the lake.

Salmon fishing available 15 minutes away in the town of Qualicum, Parksville, or Bowser.

30 Minute drive to Courtenay for shopping or drive to Mt Washington for some hiking.

July - watch the wake board competions at the camp grounds at the end of the lake.

August Kids fest in Parksville

Our favorite time is sitting on the dock with the kids at the end of the day and watching the sun go down or laying on the dock to watch the "sputnicks" in the sky or see the stars so clearly in the blackness of nature.  No street lights here.

If you are lucky, you will see some of the wild life in the area while visiting. Deer, Bear, eagles and??

Where ever you come from, spending time at the cabin will always be relaxing and you will come away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!!
