Caroline Point Cottage in Flathead Lake

  This charming “Caroline Point” cottage and guest house has its own boat dock and is in a premier location on the West lakeshore of Flathead Lake in northwestern Montana.  You have magnificent lake and mountain views to the west, north and east on Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, covers a surface area of over 191 square miles and is one of the cleanest in the world for its type and size.  This home is located approximately 1 ½  miles from Lakeside where there are restaurants, shops, convenience stores, and a public boat ramp for launching your boat; and about 9 miles from both Kalispell and Bigfork where you will find shopping, five-star restaurants, art galleries, playhouse theater and a golf course (with numerous other golf courses in the Flathead Valley).  This home is within an hour from Glacier National Park or Whitefish Mountain and within 20 minutes of Blacktail Mountain for hiking and sightseeing areas.  Glacier International Airport is located within 45 minutes of this home.

When you enter this cozy, Montana-style summer cottage, you are met with stunning views of Flathead Lake and nearby mountains.  You can walk from the house through the lawn right down to your own private boat dock.  Note that Flathead Lake is at full pool from late May through September.        

The main cottage is approximately 1,000 square feet and has:   

--a carpeted living area with nice-sized picture windows and comfortable chairs/leather davenport where you can sit to enjoy the views, watch a large variety of birds (including ducks, geese, osprey, eagles), visit with friends, or curl up to watch tv or read a novel.  Combined with the living area, there is a dining table and chairs; wood stove and entertainment center;

--there is a door from the living/dining area that takes you outdoors onto the deck overlooking the lake and mountains; an awesome place to sit under Montana’s sunshine and brilliant starry skies;

--a modest kitchen stocked with dishes, silverware, cookware and appliances, along with an adjacent laundry room with stacking washer and dryer, sink and storage space;

--another room adjacent to the kitchen where there is a desk/office area with dsl hookup, pantry and extra storage;

--two bedrooms:  one with a Queen-size bed from which you can see the wonderful lake and mountain views and a second bedroom with two twin beds looking into a wooded setting (both bedrooms are carpeted);

--a bathroom with shower located between bedrooms; 

--an outdoor picnic area with barbecue, bench and chairs;

--a single car garage and parking area;

The charming guest house gives you extra space for family and friends to visit.  The studio-type cottage, is approximately 250 square feet, with a combined living/sleeping area and a small kitchen/bathroom area with shower.  The guest house also has spectacular views from the living room and outdoor deck where you can sit to enjoy fresh air and colorful evening sunsets.
