Enjoy spectacular top-or-the mountain ocean and forest views from every room of the house (except the laundry room). The window wall in the living/dining area provides a view of the coast looking southwest and the forests of Cascade Head (elevation 1,783 feet). The panoramic views from the rooms on the north side of the house include miles of sandy beach extending north of the quaint village of Neskowin. The custom-built home, completed in 1996 sets at the top of a hill in a quiet neighborhood where humans and wildlife coexist: deer, squirrels, ground squirrels, rabbits, racoons, and birds (even an occasional sighting of eagles). Access to the beach is within walking distance in the village of Neskowin.

Cradled by the Suislaw National Forest and Cascade Head, Neskowin is a small village with about 200 permanent residents. Excellent hiking on nearby Cascade Head, a 12,000-acre experimental forest just south of Neskowin. The Nature Conservancy property offers trails winding through five ecosystems, including the last remaining coastal prairie in the country, according to its signs.
