Unique Ormond Beachside 50s style bungalow in Ormond by the Sea

Our recently renovated jewel of a cottage 10 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to the Halifax River.  We have styled it in Mid Century Modern/50s.  We purchased it in May 08 and we feel we can share it with other vacationers now the renovations have been completed within the house.

The house has 2 bedrooms the first one containing a queen size bed, the other containing two twin beds.  We also have a sleeper sofa in the living room.

There are flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and the living room - the ones in the living room and the main bedroom have built in DVDs. Bring your laptop and connect to our internet with our network cable or with our password protected wi-fi service.

The house also has a secure garage to store your car or bike.  The garage is a single garage but we have a driveway too.

The house is surrounded by a privacy fence - nice when you come home from the beach and you can kick off your flip fops and have a few cocktails in the privacy of your back garden.

Ormond Shopping Mall close by with supermarket, restaurants etc. 

An hour and a half to Orlando.  10 mins to Daytona Beach.  An hour to St Augustine.

This is the place for you if you want a quiet relaxing holiday/vacation with home from home conveniences.

WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT SMOKE IN THE HOUSE.  NO PETS PLEASE.

Fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven and range/hob, microwave, dishwasher, laundry room containing washer/dryer, crockery setting for 6, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, sandwich toaster, and drinks trolley with cocktail shaker and assorted cocktail glasses - just provide your own alcohol.

Cable TV with most channels (flat screen HD TV with inbuilt DVD and a DVD collection) and internet with ethernet cable and wi-fi (password protected) but bring your own laptop/ipad.

Flat screen HD TV in both bedrooms has basic cable but this is about 100 channels so plenty to watch.  The TV in the main bedroom has a built in DVD too.

We also have an iPod speaker station and an authentic 1950s Magnavox record player along with lots of  LPs to play on it. 

We have a bookcase of books and games such as scrabble, cards, jenga and some awful Donald Trump game ;-)

We have a Florida Room, We have beach supplies (chairs mats and beach brollys as well as a cool box). We supply towels and linens.

We also have two bicycles for your use.

We have a lovely patio set and a barbeque grill for use in our lovely garden (within a 6ft privacy fence).

We are saving up for a pool but the ocean is 10 minutes walk away.

All special events located at Daytona Beach (race week, bike week, etc.). This house is very close to the world famous Ormond Loop.

Daytona 500 is on 26 February 2012

Bike week is 9 - 18 March 2012

Coke Zero 400 is on June 30 - July 2, 2011

Biketoberfest is October 13 - 16, 2011

10 minutes walking distance to the beach. Within 10 minute drive to Daytona Beach Pier.

30 minute drive to Daytona Speedway and Daytona Airport.

45 minute drive to St. Augustine the oldest city in the continental USA.

1 & 1/2 hour drive to Orlando's attractions and the airport.

$500 per week plus the daily rate for those that want to stay in excess of 7 nights.

Prices are for 4 persons - an extra fee of $25 per person per week for the fifth and sixth person.

Excellent monthly rates of $1500 but above events during the month increase by $500 to $2000

$250 refundable damage deposit
Cleaning Fee $70

Payment methods - we have Paypal, or we accept checks (cheques) in both US dollars ($) and GBP (£) sterling.  We require half of the fee and the deposit to secure the booking and then the rest 20 days before arrival.
