Seasonal Rental, 100 year old Amelia Island cottage with all modern amenities. Smoke-Free, Non-smokers only. Easy walking to historic downtown shopping, dining and fishing in Fernandina Beach and the Amelia River. Only, 2 miles from beautiful Atlantic Beaches. A great place for snowbirds & nature lovers! This is our home away from home and we would like to share it with a few special people who love to enjoy great places with beaches, small town walking, lots of water for fishing and boating and lots of history.
This is the place to stay for a month or two. Invite the kids & grandkids and get the sand in your sandals, then lay back in the hammock and nap.
Our Coquina Cottage has all the old original wood floors and charm, but modern appliances, electric, plumbing, heat/air conditioning, etc. Fully furnished with a great screened porch, including hammock and wicker furniture. Master bedroom has queen bed, guest has twin and pull up twin trundle. Both with private baths. Has washer/dryer and roll away bed for extra grandkids. Small fenced backyard for pets or may be indoor/outdoor (pet fee required).

Fully furnished, including: bed and bath linens, kitchen - microwave, dishwasher and all gear, TV & DVD player, printer to hook a laptop to, a couple of old bicycles, kettle barbque, hammock and a shell bucket for the beach.
Down the street is the village of Fernandina Beach with historic buildings still in use for your favorite things - shopping, dining, ice cream/fudge shop, coffee shop with internet, antiques. Just a mile the other way is all the modern shopping and necessities, including the coffee shop that roasts its own beans and has open wireless internet even in the parking lot.
Our neighbors are also very friendly and ready to answer any local info questions or just give a friendly "Good Morning".

Amelia Island has activities for any age or interest. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Amelia River, water sports are readily available - fishing (salt & fresh water), kayaking (rentals available), water tours of Amelia Island and Cumberland Island with their wild horses, water people ferry to St. Mary's, GA and the ferry boat to Cumberland Island. The beaches are white and beautiful and great for walking, swimming or shelling. Sea turtles nest here in their season too.
Old Fort Clinch State Park has walking and bicycling trails, old fort tours and reenactments as well as camping for your excess visitors. Golf courses abound as well as many cultural activities all over the island - The Little Theather, movie theatres, street concerts, Island History Museum, etc. Dining out is affordable and delicious with an abundance of great, local restaurants geared to the varied tastes of Fernandina Beach's many visitors.
Walking is a favorite activity, whether in historic downtown (where Coquina Cottage is located), or on the Greenway which bisects a portion of the island or just out the town pier to watch our famous sunsets.
Saturday Farmer's Market and sidewalk sitting for coffee or limeade for people watching are also high on our list of fun.
Hammock napping and breakfast on the porch with backyard barbques are good year around on Amelia Island

Rates are $1600 - 2000/month, $2000 for months of March & & May (Concours D'Elegance & Shrimp Festival) Lowest in July - August
