Our stay at Coquina Cottage

barbara murphy (cummington, ma 01026)
Review submitted: June 6, 2010   Date of arrival: February 1, 2010

We really enjoyed our time at Cpquina Cottage in Fernandina Beach. We liked being able to walk to the lovely main street Centre Street. We enjoyed the charisma of the Victorian home with high ceilings and inviting rooms. The kitchen was spacious and well laid out. It was easy to prepare meals there. We had our dog who we think enjoyed being in the fenced back yard. The screened porch was an excellent place to wile away a morning or evening.
We walked the beach (North of Atlantic Ave and the Greenway). Both were beautiful. Fort Clinch is a wonderful day trip.
TRay's was a great Friday lunch with yummy shrimp. 29 South was a lovely place for a bountiful and delicious dinner.

We enjoyed our month in Fernandina Beach and would love to return to Coquina Cottage for another stay. The house was wonderfully laid out and had all the conveniences we needed. The owners had a lot of information that helped us get acclimated very quickly. The house was clean and comfortable.

This house is great. Charming, sweet and close to town. My husband and I walk to shops and restaurants and bike to the beach. The house has period ambiance; nice proportions, including a spacious kitchen, and a charming sequence of rooms. We've loved spending evenings on the screened porch. The owner emails fun things to do in the area and the neighbors wave or stop to talk when we walk our dog. Book this home now. You won't be disappointed!
