The Retreat is situated on 10 wooded acres surrounded by 1000 acres of forest. Take a short walk through the woods to the swimming lake with a sandy beach. The compound is located on an ancient country road and is a short hike to pristine lakes and miles of trails.
     
Convenient Location
The Connecticut Retreat is remote but convenient to the culture of Chester with its Goodspeed Opera House, the charm of Essex with the panoramic beauty of the Connecticut River; and the Hammonnaeset Beach on shoreline of Long Island Sound -- all within 8 miles.
     
Easy Access from NYC
The Connecticut Retreat is 100 miles from New York City or Boston, 15 minutes away to MetroNorth trains in Clinton and 20 minutes to the Amtrak station in Old Saybrook, 40 minutes to Metro North in New Haven or Bradley Airport in Hartford.

The Retreat is comprised of two rentals, each offering a unique living style.

• The Tree House: an airy, bright, open, and secluded guest cottage that is perched high within the tree tops on a ridge overlooking Connecticut State Forests.
• The Cabin in the Woods: a secluded, cozy and rustic hide-away located at rear of 10 wooded acres, just 50 feet from an expansive state park and forest.

The Tree House:

• $150 per night (3-night minimum)
• $994 per week ($142/night)
• $3,600 per month (28 days)

The Cabin in the Woods:

• $100 per night (3-night minimum)
• $600 per week
• $2,000 per month (28 days)
