The Yellow Cottage in La Jolla in La Jolla

The Yellow Cottage of La Jolla is a charming historic Victorian
cottage, only three blocks from a semi-private beach, and a three
minute drive to the well known La Jolla Cove. Built in 1895, as a
summer vacation home, the Yellow Cottage was relocated and renovated
in 1980 by a local historian and her husband. The cottage has been
featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine and many other papers
and periodicals. It has only recently become available as a
vacation/corporate relocation rental.

The Yellow Cottage is only a two minute walk to Sea Lane Beach, a
scenic beach used mainly by locals. This is a great spot to enjoy a
glorious sunset, dine on the sand, or swim in the refreshing ocean.

The Yellow Cottage is a beautiful example of period renovation
combined with modern convenience. The home is bright and cheery with
comfortable furnishings. There is a working gas fireplace in the
living-dining area and a large dining table. Wifi nternet service
provided. The living area is furnished with a TV, VCR, full cable
channels, a CD/Tape player, scrabble, pictionary, puzzles and other
games too.

The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has a king-size
bed, multiple closets, cable TV and VCR, bed side lighting and alarm
clock. The second bedroom (the loft) has a queen-sized bed that
folds up into a couch with a twin-sized bunk above. All linens
(sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, beach towels) are provided.
There is a full bathroom on the second floor and a half-bath on the
ground floor.

The Yellow Cottage shares a quiet yard/patio area with neighboring
historic structures, which is ideal for barbecues and outdoor dining.
The outdoor fireplace is another amenity that encourages guests to
enjoy the yard area. The home's picturesque front porch complete with
rocking chairs, and private deck off the dining room, provide
wonderful morning and afternoon locations to enjoy the Southern
California sun.

We also provide Bicycles, Boogie Boards, Beach Chairs, Beach Towels,
Umbrellas, and Coolers.

The Yellow Cottage is only a two minute walk to Sea Lane Beach, a
scenic beach used mainly by locals. This is a great spot to enjoy a
glorious sunset, dine on the sand, or swim in the refreshing ocean.
If you are a walker or a runner, you will enjoy the three-mile RT
jaunt to the La Jolla Cove and back. Again, many locals make this
trek daily. On Sundays you can enjoy walking up to the La Jolla
Farmer's Market where produce, flowers, handmade gifts and gourmet
items are sold.

Also nearby are the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Wild
Animal Park, Legoland, Balboa Park, Seaport Village, Carlsbad Flower
Fields and Coronado Island. Families can also enjoy touring the newly
renovated La Jolla Scripps Aquarium. The La Jolla PlayHouse on the
grounds of the University of California at San Diego offers superb
theater performances.

$1,625/week or $275/night during Mid Season (June 1 - 14 and September
2 - 30)
$1,800/week during the Summer season - weekly basis from Saturday -
Saturday only (June 15 - Sept 1)
