This is a very clean, cozy, comfortable home in a quiet middleclass neighborhood.  This sunny, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 car garage home sleeps six.  One bedroom has a king size bed, second bedroom has a fulls size bed, and the sofa can be used as a twin or open into a queen size bed.  Dine or relax on the glider on the screened porch.  Porch has table and 6 chairs, glider, end tables, and bakers rack.  Vertical blinds on all windows.  This is not a gated community.  Boats and pickups may be parked in the driveway.  The house is located about 8 blocks from the clubhouse grounds, which has 2 beautiful pools, a children's pool (shown in photo) and an adult pool.  The clubhouse is situated on about 6 acres including two large peaceful ponds.

Includes everything you need to stay in Vero Beach.  Central air and heat, cable TV, phone, internet, water, electric, trash and lawn care are provided.  Bath has tub/shower combo.  Ceiling fans in living room and each bedroom.  Fridge with ice maker, range, new dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, mixer, blender, washer, dryer, and garage door opener.  Cookware, dishes, silverware, glasses and all linens provided.  AC and all appliances are less than five years old.  The Vero Beach Highlands has about 1800 homes, majority are retirees and working families.  You may park a pick up or boat in the driveway.  Community pools, tennis, raquet ball, walking trail, shuffleboard. ping pong, darts, and exercise room are on grounds.

Ocean is 15 minutes from house.  You can be anywhere in Vero Beach in 15-30 minutes, anywhere in Indian River County in 45 minutes.  Within 1 hour's drive are many attractions and historic sites plus many museums, theaters, fishing, golf, Blue Cypress Lake, and Lake Okeechobee Locks.  Only 10 minutes to Navy Seal Museum, Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, and Oslo boat ramp to Indian River.  20 minutes to Vero Beach Municipal Airport and St Lucie Airport.  45-60 mins to Melbourne Intl Airport.  1 hr 15 min to West Palm Beach Airport.  2 hours to Orlando Intl Airport and Disney World.

Very comfortable stay

We stayed here for a week over Christmas and had a very enjoyable stay. Janice was there to meet us and was very welcoming. The house has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay including a fast wired internet connection which was very useful. We enjoyed sitting in the covered porch area at the back of the house during the warm weather and the BBQ was handy for Christmas lunch. Janice even provided a new grill and lighting fuel!

It is situated in a quiet residential area a short drive to the lovely beaches and Indian River. We also visited the Manatee Center in Fort Pierce a short drive away. It is well placed for a day trip to numerous places including the Kennedy Space Center which we enjoyed enormously. The restaurants in the Vero Beach area are varied and reasonably priced and there are plenty of shops nearby.

Janice was very accommodating with regard to the deposit return and was keen to ensure that the currency exchange was not problematic for us.

We loved this part of Florida and aim to return this winter for a longer period of time. We would love to stay here again and would recommend it.

Home away from home

We have rented homes on the beach before, but enjoyed this home the most. Most house rentals include only basic amenities. This home is so well organized you find everything you need. The furniture, beds, and pillows are so comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. The description just does not do this house justice. I loved the no smoking and no pet rule; that made it seem even more comfortable considering my family's allergies. The house was well located for various events. I can best sum up my opinion of this house as "homey" if that is a word. We felt right at home for a very comfortable stay. Thanks, Janice. We certainly plan to return to this house.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

What a wonderful home away from home!

We stayed here for the month of March and couldn't have been more pleased. Jan was here to greet us when we came in and made us feel right at home.

The accomodations were just as nice as stated. Everything was clean and in good working order. The house and furniture were comfortable and everything was well stocked and maintained. Jan even left emergency supplies of food if anyone needed it, due to late arrival.

It is just a short drive to the beach (South Beach was our favorite) and there were grocery stores and restaurants within a short drive. There are a lot of activities to choose from and Jan provided a list that most anyone would find helpful, along with a street map, which is really handy. It's these little attentions to detail that make the visit more enjoyable.

We would certainly recommend this house to anyone, and we certainly would like to return.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children
