Changes in Attitiudes in Don Pedro Island

Excellent vacation

We rented Changes in attitude for our honeymoon/vacation for two weeks. We have stayed on Don Pedro once before and loved it. It is a true island feel since the only way to get on is by ferry. The beach is excellent for collecting shells and sharks teeth or just walking and relaxing. We took the golf cart for a couple rides around the island along with we drove it to the only restaurant, Rum Bay on the island,we all agreed the food and drinks were good. It's pretty cool seeing the gopher tortoises walking around on the island too.

In regards to our stay at Changes in Attitude, the home was excellent. It was very spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. All of the bedrooms and living room have walk out patios, depending on the bugs (noseums) and weather, its nice leaving the doors open to let in the fresh air. The living room doors actually slide completely open which opens the living room up to the outside.

The master bedroom (which we stayed in) is nice with a walk in closet and an attached bathroom.
The two guest bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house. There is a pocket door to close off from the living room and the bedrooms. My mom and aunt each stayed in one of the bedrooms, sharing the bathroom. The only change they would have liked to see is there is only one mirror for getting ready and that is in the bathroom. An extra mirror in each of the bedrooms would have made it perfect.
The totally screened in porch was really nice, the first week we were able to open everything up and no problems with bugs. The second week we had bees come to visit which because of the screen it was nice because we were still able to enjoy the outdoors. The noseums can come through the screening so Avon bug spray was used.
We will certainly stay in Changes of Attitude again. I had to contact the owners a couple of times and no problems with that either. Thank you for making our honeymoon and vacation an excellent time!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Beautiful Location and home

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog) really enjoyed our stay on Don Pedro Island. This Island is great for a beach getaway and this home is the perfect location to enjoy it all. The home is well appointed, clean and in a great location. We really felt right at home and confortable in our surroundings. Everything we needed was available to us.
We spent most of our days walking the beach, enjoyed most meals on the front or back porches (the house has a full wrap around screen porch). Our kids love roaming the island collecting shells, bike riding and riding the golf cart.
This was definetly the most laid back vacation we've had in a very long time. One I would like to repeat often to build those childhood memories.
I highly recommend this rental!
Plus: Location, screen porch, limited traffic and commercial activity, kids are free to roam
Cons: Inconsiderate pet owners - not picking up after their dogs (we encountered a few)
Tip: If you drink bottled water be sure to bring enough on your way over.
