DESIGN AND SITUATION.
Walk past the ancient and annual nests of the sea turtles. Better in aspect and function than the row upon row of high rise & population boxes plopped onto the beach. This 85 unit complex is on low rise & density Northern Longboat Key - a sub-tropical island with bridges to Anna Maria Island, St. Armand's & Sarasota. Floor to ceiling windows, large sliding glass doors onto two large furnished balconies & a screened lanai, invite the outdoors inside. Public and private spaces are separated by a U shape for entertaining new friends. Very few rental units are available.

Our family of 4 (2 adults / 2 teen aged girls) had a wonderful stay at Club Longboat Beach & Tennis #131. The home had everything we needed even sheets and beach towels. The kitchen was fully equipped w/pots pans & appliances. Televisions in every bedroom and internet access. The location, just steps to the beach, was perfect. Home is tastefully decorated with all the amenities needed. The pool area is a fun gathering place. There are several restaurants from which to choose. It was a pleasure to deal with the very helpful owner. We would definitely recommend Longboat Beach & Tennis as a place to rent when vacationing in Florida.

Club Longboat Beach & Tennis Condo, July 9, 2009 By G. Simon (Tampa, FL.) This is a great condo. It's on the Gulf of Mexico side (which is where you want to be on Longboat Key). It's spacious and nicely furnished. It has 2 nice bedrooms and a study, which could easily be used for a 3rd bedroom. It has 2 patios for sunning, plus a screened lanai for outdoor dining. Great tennis facilities, lovely pool, and of course The Beach. The owners are great, and very attentive, as are the staff who run the condo facility. We look forward to renting this condo again in the future.

Amenities enjoyed without charge include: Tennis (court shoes and clothes required), and a court side gazebo for watching; Take a swim or go shelling in the gulf from our private beach.  Lounges and umbrellas are set up on the beach. Walk:
Down the beach excellent shelling and green flash at sunset. Five minutes to the Hilton for wave runner and Hobie Cat rentals, sunset cocktails and entertainment. Up the street side pathway to any of 5 great restaurants. Euphemia-Haye, Harry's and Pattigeorge's restaurants are within .7 mile.
Bicycle:
Rental down the street. Path and bike lanes run the island.
Bus:
Stops in front of our building. Longboat Key & Anna Maria Island Trolleys connect to 2 County Bus systems. 5 minute ride to super markets, shopping, restaurants, Anna Maria Island. 20 minutes to St. Armands Circle, Bradenton. 30 to Sarasota, and 15 more to airport.
DRIVE:
Longboat Key AND Anna Maria Island... Two minutes to The Center Shops, 5 excellent restaurants, or Cannon's Marina; Four minutes to Publix Supermarket, Moore's Stone Crab Restaurant or Anna Maria Island; Ten minutes to boat, sail, para sail, fish, scuba & snorkel on the gulf or bay. Twelve minutes to the Charthouse, Lido Key, and St. Armand's Circle; Fifteen minutes to golf courses where you are welcome to play.
