vacation rental description
Our luxury cabin was built in 2008 and is in a secluded area 15 minutes from Boone and 15 minutes from West Jefferson. It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with each on its own level of the house. Each level has a living room or sitting area and the main and lower levels each have a fireplace and deck. The main level fireplace is two sided making it perfect for sitting and relaxing by an outside fire. This is NON-SMOKING cabin.

The house is furnished with all new furniture purchased at the Hickory Furniture Mart giving it a wonderful luxurious mountain feel. The linens and beds are more comfortable than ever and the kitchen is equipped for gracious living and entertaining. There is a flat screen HD TV in the main area with a DVD player and a DVD library. The lower level has a TV, foosball table and wonderfully comfy sofa and chairs. The Upper level loft area has a game table and chairs for chess, checkers and backgammon as well as cards. WIFI and IPOD compatible music system. There is a gas grill on the main level porch.
activities and attractions in Boone Blue Ridge Mountains
The area is abundant with outdoor activities. We are very close to the New River where we love to go biking on Railroad Grade Rd, float the New River or just sit at the Todd General Store and eat ice cream and listen to storytellers or bluegrass. The drive to both Boone and West Jefferson is a mere 15 minutes where there are restaurants, art galleries and more parks and hiking trails. Blowing Rock is a 30 minute drive for shopping, eating and the arts.Grandfather Mountain and the ski resorts are about 30-45 minutes away making for great day trips. Grassy Creek is 20 minutes away if you are looking for a wonderful dining experience at the River House Inn. There is mountian biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, fishing and an array of outdoor activities available. There is a creek in the neighborhood from which to fish as well.

April 1-Oct. 31 2010 (140/weekday. 160/weekend night. 950/week)
Holidays : Nov 24-29 and Dec.22-Jan 3 ($175/night-four night minimum)
There is a $75 cleaning fee (waived on rentals of 4 or more nights) NC Occupancy tax is 10.75%.
