vacation rental description
This spacious lakeside home is a wonderful retreat; a place to get away from it all. There are plenty of spots where you can curl up with your book or take a nap. The lakeviews, the quiet, and the privacy will stay with you long after you leave.
Available to rent beginning on Mother’s Day Weekend this well-appointed 3 to 4 bedroom home offers a large working kitchen, breakfast nook and formal dining room. Climate controlled with central heat and air conditioning Cayuga Lake Guest House provides optimal comfort.
There is a large, fully outfitted gourmet kitchen which can accomodate simple to complex food prep to prepare those special feasts while fabulous lake views abound. A gas grill is just a few steps away on the deck and rounds out the cooking options. The adjoining dining room can easily accommodate 8 for meals. The adjacent living room has lots of comfy seating for reading, relaxing, or watching the cable TV. With a large collection of books and movies, every guest should be able to find something to help relax and refresh away the hours. Off the living room is a screened in front porch; a wonderful spot to watch the lake go by as you sip your morning coffee or take an afternoon nap. You will a small den in the northeast corner. It contains a desk for note writing and a collection of music for your listening pleasure.
Take either set of stairs to the second floor bedrooms. The master suite is located on the southern end of the house and contains a queen size bed. Expect more great lake views and enjoy the adjoining full bath with shower and double vanity sinks. On the north end upstairs has another bath and two bedrooms with full size beds. The northern most bedroom has a sitting area which is perfect for quiet contemplation. The third bedroom is reminiscent of the original cottage and has views to the south. Between the bedrooms on the north and south ends of the house are the game room and laundry. The game room also acts as a fourth bedroom with a full sized futon which can be opened up to sleep on. Board games, puzzles and a video-game-ready TV can be found here in as well, to help while away the occasional rainy day. The laundry has been put close to the bedrooms and baths in an attempt to make life convenient and is ready to use if you need it.
The lake front offers not only a dock for you to use, but a cabin reminiscent to those used at summer camp back in the day. Just steps from the lake, it is a wonderful spot in which to wake up, listening to the natural sounds of life on the lake. Twin beds, a couple of chairs and a table make this a great spot to relax and remember the days when things weren't so complicated. Don't forget the sleeping bags!
