Guest House on Private Drive just South of Canoga in Cayuga Lake

I need a vacation!  Does this sound familiar?  It’s time to pack up your fishing poles, favorite books, camera, along with your tanning lotion and come for a wonderful retreat at the Cayuga Lake Guest House.  This is a place to get away from it all. 

Available to rent beginning on Mother’s Day Weekend this well-appointed 3 bedroom home offers convenience, privacy, and lovely lake views.  Climate controlled with central heat and air conditioning Cayuga Lake Guest House provides optimal comfort. 

Enter the house and find there is a fully outfitted gourmet kitchen with a gas grill just a few steps away on the deck; providing the perfect place to prepare those special feasts with the lake as a backdrop.  The adjoining dining room can easily accommodate 8 for meals while gazing out over Cayuga Lake.  The adjacent living room has lots of comfy seating for reading, relaxing, or watching the cable TV.  With a large collection of books and movies every guest should be able to find something to help idle away the hours.  Off the living room is a screened in front porch; a wonderful spot to watch the lake go by as you sip your morning coffee or take an afternoon nap on the futon.  You will also find around the corner a small den which contains a desk for note writing and a collection of music for your listening pleasure.

Take either set of stairs to the second floor bedrooms.  The master suite is located on the southern end of the house and contains a queen size bed.  Expect more great lake views and enjoy the adjoining full bath with shower and double vanity sinks.  Then on the north end, another bath and two bedrooms which contain full size beds.  The northern most bedroom has a sitting area which is perfect for quiet contemplation.  The third bedroom is reminiscent of the original cottage and has views to the south.   Between the bedrooms on the north and south ends of the house are the game room and a laundry.  Board games, puzzles and a video game ready TV can be found to help while away the occasional rainy day.  The laundry has been put close to the bedrooms and baths in an attempt to make life convenient, ready to use if you need it.

The lake front offers a dock for you to use, please contact us if you plan on bringing a boat or are interested in renting one.  We have a canoe, paddle boat, row boat and swim platform for your enjoyment on the water. 

Sorry no land line telephone, however we have excellent cell phone reception.  For those who cannot cut lose from the web, wireless internet acess is available.  The house is not toddler proof; we welcome children 8 and over to stay with us. This is a smoke-free facility.

Located within minutes of Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake Wine
Trails, Antique Trails, and many New York State Parks (Cayuga Lake,
Taughannock Falls, Seneca Lake, Montezuma Wild Life Preserve and Hector National Forest), Waterloo Outlet Mall, Menonite and Amish
shopping, and of course the Pro Bass Shop in Auburn.

Less than 1 hour will transport you to Ithaca (10 square miles
surrounded by reality) and it's many colleges, multi-cultural
restaurants, Hanger Theater, and shopping.

Just 1 hour takes you to either Rochester or Syracuse to enjoy their
sporting events, both Pro games or College, along with museums, and
concert facilities.

10 minutes from New York Chiropractic College, 20 minutes from
Hobart-William Smith, 30 minutes to Cayuga Community College, and 40
minutes to Canindaigua's Finger Lakes Community College and
Preforming Arts Center. If you came to hike try Taughannock Falls,
as well any of Ithaca's gorges.

For those more adventurous try Watkins Glen or prehaps Corning both
within a short distance.

$1950 per week during the summer season from Father's Day Weekend through Labor Day, for full weeks only. Rental is from 3:00 pm Sunday to 10:00 am Sunday.

$950 per week Mother's Day Weekend to Father's Day and  Labor Day to Veteran's Day with more flexible scheduling available, with a minimum 2 night stay.

This is a HOUSEKEEPING RENTAL, cleaning supplies will be there for
your use and you must leave it in the same condition as it was when
you arrived. You must bring your own bed linens and towels.
Blankets, pillows and dish towels are provided.

A deposit of 1/2 payment is required to hold reservation with
remander due two weeks before occupancy, a $300 security deposit due upon arrival and will be refundable within 30 days pending damages and excessive cleaning.

No Pets - No Exceptions
