vacation rental description
Tucked between the steep Sierra de la Giganta mountains and the Sea of Cortés—“where the mountains come to swim”— this beautiful Spanish colonial home featuring terra cotta floors, plaster walls, and natural woodwork sits a couple of hundred yards from the beach. Part of the Founders Neighborhood in the eco-friendly Loreto Bay Villages, you are quickly reminded of an old European town with homes nestled close to beautifully landscaped meandering walkways. The waters of Loreto Bay are part of the Loreto Bay Marine Park inhabited by over 800 species of marine life and included in United Nations' list of protected World Heritage Sites.
The first floor of this three-story casa features a living room with a full kitchen decorated with authentic mexican tiles and dark wood beams. Multiple doors open onto an internal courtyard featuring local flora and a bubbling fountain. One of two bedrooms is also located on the first floor. This bedroom has two queen beds along with a gorgeous bathroom. It features a double vanity and a walk in shower. This bathroom opens on to its own outdoor courtyard and has a door leading to the living room.
The second floor features an outdoor terrace with two large chaise lounges and a dining table along with an outdoor kitchen (BBQ grill, sink, small refrigerator) where you can cook and eat in the splendor of Loreto's beautiful weather. The second bedroom is on this floor with a plush king bed and full-bath featuring a jacuzzi tub, double vanity, and walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a double door opening onto a Juliet balcony.
The third floor is a viewing tower with sweeping mountain views to the west and views of Loreto Bay to the east. This tower contains comfortable lounge furniture where you can enjoy cocktails with friends before making dinner on the terrace below or heading into town for a fresh seafood dinner. Watch the sun set over the ocean or sip a nightcap under a canopy of stars.
