Perhaps the best feature of all is the ferry pass for the South Venice Beach 1300 foot private unspoiled old Florida beach!  The ferry is just about 4 blocks and runs every thirty minutes from 9 AM up until sunset every day except Wednesday.  Also enjoy byciling and kyaking (some bikes & a kyak provided).
