Weekly rentals available. 

In addition to rent, there will be a refundable security deposit.  No additional cleaning fee.

Entrance to property is from Seneca Walk, not Cayuga St., even though the address is Cayuga

Wonderful retreat

Ocean breaze blows through the house all day. It is the perfect retreat for the City Dweller in the summer. The ocean is a one minute walk on private path, and you can see for miles from the top roof deck (we once saw a pod of dolphins from the roof deck!). Lots of outdoor deck space great for evening bbq.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Close to paradise

Our stay at 36 Cayuga couldn't have been better. The house location was perfect, set back from the beach with a private path from the steps of the house. The house is also right down the road from the shops and major amenities. The outdoor shower was such a treat as was the oceanviews from each of the 2 patios. But by far what set the experience apart was Wayne's hospitality. Not only did Wayne meet as at the ferry terminal to give us a lift to the house but he let us check in early AND when I accidentally left my bathing suit behind, he graciously went back to the house to fetch it for me. It's lovely to know that there are good people in addition to great places out there. Thanks Wayne!

Beautiful beach views...

We stayed at this home with another family and had a lovely time. The owner is helpful, kind and very much available to us (in person and then via phone). The house is great because of it's close proximity to the beach. You can literally see the waves crashing from the main living space. Another great feature is that is it is so close to the ferry, general store, and restaurants. We really enjoyed getting ice cream with the kids and sitting at the dock watching the boats go by.
The outdoor shower was great too because after walking back down the private path from the beach you could shower off while taking in the beach air. I would pack a bag with towels, toiletries and a change of clothing for all of us and leave it by the back door so that we could shower upon returning from the beach.
Overall, Fire Island is a magical and serene place. I would highly recommend this island getaway.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
