This charming Victorian cottage offers privacy and soltitude...as one guest noted, "We loved the people quiet and the bird songs." Located on a quiet lane just 300 meters from a secluded pebble and sand beach, the house is set on Lockeport Harbour on Nova Scotia's famous Lighthouse Route.
The cottage is surrounded by flowers, sprawling lawn, and mature evergreens. Whether your plans include a walk on the beach, quietly reading a book, grilling a meal with friends or engaging in a game of catch with the kids, the grounds accommodates lots of leisure activities.
The interior is an ideal respite for quiet seekers and families alike. The house boasts eight rooms which include three bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a new full bath plus a half bath. Furnished in a mix of the old and new, there are also a variety of books, movies and board games.
Area attractions are within easy reach. Three of the provinces most beautiful white sand beaches are closeby--Lockeport's Cresent Beach is 10 minutes, Louis Head Beach is a short distance and Carter's Beach is 25 minutes. The house is located between the towns of Shelburne(30 minutes) and Liverpool(40 minutes). Yarmouth is an hour and a quarter away and Halifax is a two hour drive. Lunenberg, Chester, and Mahone Bay are pleasant day trips.
