As you pass through the wroght iron gatein thevine covered limestone wall that surrounds the sheltered front garden, leave behind the stresses and frustrations of the world of "getting and spending." The central courtyard facing you is popular with guests enjoying morning coffee surrounded by vibrantly colored Bougainvillea and Hibiscus and accompanied by the soothing sound of water trickling down the rock fountain.
Afternoons on the rooftop terrace garden encourage resting in the shade of the gazebo or lying on lounges under the tropical sun cooled by gentle sea breezes or work out with the exercise machines in our air conditioned Fitness Center, order a massage at the Spa or on site, or sign up for world class yoga instruction.
The Townhouse offers three bedrooms and two baths, a spacious forty five foot open plan living room, dining room and kitchen, all with a comfortably homey atmosphere. It accommodates seven guests or it can be divided into separate one and two bedroom suites, each with its own fully equipped kitchen and dining areas.
Suite 102 is on the lower level with a king size bed and en suite bathroom that features a unique sunken bath cut into the limestone bedrock. The large working kitchen has an oversized island with a breakfast counter and adjacent dining room.
The upper level, #103, has two bedrooms, each with independent access to the bathroom, and accomodates up to five guests. The front bedroom with a queen bed opens through french doors onto a private balcony overlooking the garden. The large rear bedroom has a king bed and futon. The large kitchen and dining area, seating six, features a leaded glass window from a 19th century pub.
Suite 100 is a junior one bedroom apartment across the landing. It also has a private thatch roofed (Palapa) balcony and open floor plan kitchen, dining and seating areas in the front. The bedroomin the rear has a queen bed and a futon for viewing the flat screen TV. It is a perfect space for two to three guests.

This year we have added a fitness center for exercise and a rooftop terrace garden for sunning or relaxing in the shade of a tented gazebo.
All rooms have air conditioners and ceiling fans, wireless access to the internet, English and Spanish satellite TV and DVD, fully equipped kitchens. We provide free phone sevice to the U. S. and Canada as well as Mexico. Our housekeeper, Manuela and our caretaker, Joaquin are there to help you. Ask Joaquin to take you around the corner to the entrance to popular Yalku Lagoon, where we have arranged discounted entry for our guests. We can arrange on request baby stting services or Mexican Dinner cooked on site.

Fishing trips or dive trips to the reef and the nearby caves can be arranged through one of the three dive shops in Akumal. Swim in the bays or snorkel along the reefs that protect the bays or among the tropical fish in Yalku Lagoon. Take day trips to nearby historic sites. Golfers can enjoy any of the several nearby courses along the coast, the nearest just two miles below the entrance to Akumal Beach. For nature lovers this is paradise. Take a canoe trip through Sian Kan Biosphere Reserve to get a feel for the jungle that greeted the early explorers of the Yukatan or visit one of the Ecoparks along the coast or just take a stroll around the quiet and beautiful Yalku neighborhood. History buffs will relish day trips to the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza and the Colonial City of Valladolid. And for everyone there is the shopping and frenetic night life of Playa del Carmen and Cancun or the more laid back atmosphere of Akumal or Tulum.
