activities and attractions in Akumal Yucatan
Fishing trips or dive trips to the reef and the nearby caves can be arranged through one of the three dive shops in Akumal. Swim in the bays or snorkel along the reefs at the mouths of the bays or among the tropical fish in Yalku Lagoon. Take day trips to nearby historic sites. Golfers can enjoy any of the several nearby courses along the coast, the nearest just three klometers south of Akumal Beach. Nature lovers have entered paradise. Take a canoe trip through Sian Kan Biosphere Reserve or visit one of the Ecoparks along the coast or just stroll through the maze of paths in the little natural park that faces our property to get a feel for the jungle that greeted the early explorers of the Yukatan.
