Rocky Neck has been called America's oldest working art colony, Gloucester its oldest working seaport. Our apartment is right in the  thick of things, a bustling place on a summer weekend evening, contrasting with the serenity of a silent sunrise reflecting on the cove.

Autumn is a spectacular time, less people, great dawns and reflective sunsets.  Winter brings a cozy seclusion for a true retreat.  Spring sees the earlier bright dawn and the belated budding of trees.  Each season offers its own gifts to enjoy.

Connected to the mainland by a causeway, you can circumnavigate Rocky Neck by foot within minutes, not hours. In summer on the Neck you will find many artists' galleries, three seasonal restaurants, a coffee shop and an ice cream parlor, along with a full complement of colorful characters and views. Some galleries are open year-round.

Across the causeway, within easy walking distance, is a convenience store with homemade soups and sandwiches, and the Gloucester Stage Company theater.

A short drive, bike ride or leisurely walk away is Good Harbor Beach, one of the
best-rated beaches in the Boston area.

There are many activities during the summer months, including St. Peter's Fiesta in June, the Horribles parade and fireworks on July 3rd, the sidewalk bazaar, Rocky Neck Beaux Arts Ball and Waterfront Festival in August, and the schooner races over Labor Day weekend, just to name a few.

$700 U.S. per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Lower rates available for longer or off-season stays. Shorter stays of at least 3 days may be booked based on availability during the off-season.
