2010/2011 GUEST REVIEWS!
4/ The most heavenly vacation ever! Reviewed by Karyl and Bill from Gastonia, North Carolina. Stayed in January 2011.
The Coffee House is right on the beach of a lovely cove on the North Sound at Virgin Gorda with the best breezes, a beautiful dark sky full of stars. The deck view shows you the beautiful sailboats and yachts during the day and the North Star at night. Snorkeling in Little Leverick Bay was a blast. We had an air conditioner but never considered turning it on. So many nice amenities that made it feel like home. Don't bring a book - there are plenty. The kitchen is stocked with with any utensil you'd need. Even check the refrigerator before you go to the grocery store - you can cross condiments and more off your list. The cleaning service was excellent. You're just around the corner from Leverick Bay Resort with a restaurant, grill and beach bar (where you can meet all the wonderful people that sail during the day and come to shore in the evening for a shower and dinner.)
3/ Absolutely loved it! - Kieron, Toronto Canada. Stayed Dec/Jan 2010-11
Hello Bianca,
I wanted to drop you a line. Kelly and I absolutely loved our 10 days at Coffee Cottage over Christmas & New Years just past. Donna and everyone at Leveric Bay were pleasant and helpful. We tend to mind our own business and blend in where ever we go and this combination of a private cottage and resort 5 minutes away was perfect.
We had a great relaxing stay at the cottage, used the BBQ and had a couple of dinners there. We were all over Virgin Gorda and dinned The Mine Shaft, Chez Bamboo, Fishers Cove, Top of the Baths, The Cave as well as The Restauant at Leverick Bay. We also went to Saba Rock, The Bitter End and many assorted bars. The only place that we didn't like was Little Dix Bay, if fact we walked in looked around and left, not our kind of place.
The grocery store at Leverick Bay with bakery and wine selection was our best friend. You really wouldn't need anything else. I went scuba diving while Kelly had a spa afternoon and we met at Jumbies for pizza and drinks.
I have no negatives other than low gas pressure on the stove, no major problem.
Thanks again, Kieron

2/ From guest WHILST staying in cottage - December 2010
This is Carla and I'm PRESENTLY staying at Coffee Cottage. I just wanted to tell you that this a beautiful cottage and I'm having the best time ever! I've wanted for nothing and all your staff is extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. Thank you again for all your help and kudos to you for sharing your piece of paradise with me. All the very best to you and your family Carla
1/ Room with a view....A very nice view! Reviewed by Bob from Portland, Oregon for his stay April 2010.
I was looking for something a little unique...no "resort-style living;" something a bit off the beaten path, quite comfortable, offering a solo traveler peace and quiet, yet close enough to activities that I could kick-up my heels when the urge hit.
I found Tea Cottage on Tripadvisor; from the beginning it was exactly what I was looking for. A separate cottage-on-stilts, with private deck overlooking the Carribbean (literally a stone's "drop" away), the ability to prepare my own meals, but with a location next to a partnering-resort when I wanted a prepared meal fit to my likes (and yours?).
Clean, neat, daily maid service, open living area with an absolute great view. Note: Tea Cottage is a great place to "get away" but services nearby provide for boating to nearby islands for the day, or a host of other adventures to your liking.
Bianca fortunately was visting when I was there - she has a house nearby - and was as friendly and welcoming in person as she was online when making my preparations to visit Virgin Gorda.
Whether your first time to the islands or the 10th time, I highly recommend this idyllic spot for your visit.

2009 GUEST REVIEWS!
1/ Wonderfully Romantic & Peaceful Reviewed by: Karen from Ocean Beach CA. Reviewed on: 11/20/2009 for their stay in 08/2009
My husband and I stayed at the Coffee House the end of July to first part of August 2009. We loved everything about it.
The acccomodations were very nice. We like cooking many of our meals and were very pleased to find simple supplies such as saran wrap, some spices, and all cooking equipment and serving dishes. At the time we were there it was very quiet, we essentially had the beach to ourselves. The water was warm and good to snorkel. We are scuba divers and went diving daily. We found the patio perfect to rinse and dry our gear.
I can't think of a thing I would have done to improve our stay. It was beautiful.
2/ A Perfect Escape... Reviewed by: Lovett55 from New York
Reviewed on: 11/17/2009 for their stay in 09/2009
After a conference in New York my partner and I wanted a quiet island break so we headed south for unspoiled Virgin Gorda. Leverick Bay is the best end of the island with gorgeous views and cool sea breezes. We stayed in Tea Cottage and it was just perfect for the two of us. The cottages are a roundish shape so offer incredible views and sitting privately on the large deck above the beach was our favourite. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including a full kitchen. It's not luxurious 5 star, but simple and
homely. We loved the privacy of this beach and owners coconut grove next door. They were happy for us to collect coconuts and eat them! What fun! Good snorkeling on your door step too! What added to the experience was that the resort with shops, restaurants, entertainment and boating was only a 5 minute walk over the hill. We had the best of both worlds! A perfect stay!
3/ Great stay! Reviewed by: ctt08 from San Juan, Puerto Rico

I recently stayed in Tea Cottage and had a wonderful stay, the cottage is extremely homely and perfect for an island stay. The deck outside is an amazing area to to sit, watch the stars and listen to the sea below.
4/ Beachfront Bliss Reviewed by: Camille from Moorepark, CA
Reviewed on: 07/31/2009 for their stay in 07/2009
My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our anniversary that
was on the beach, private, and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. And we
absolutely did not want to stay at some fancy, dressy, posh resort. We took
a chance with Coffee and Tea - it looked rustic in the photos - but we
arrived to find it had just been renovated (OK, it was _almost_ done) and it
was perfect! Literally right on the beach, which is in a quiet mixed
residential/rental neighborhood and was practically deserted everyday. We
felt like it was our own private beach. The snorkeling was amazing. We saw
conch and starfish and tons of fish right in front of the villa!
The villa is not huge, but is was perfect for the two of us. It's not
luxuriously appointed, but it is well stocked and we did not miss a thing.
The new decorations, curtains and paint give the place a light, tropical
"plantation house" feel. We did not need the recently installed air
conditioning while we were there but it would probably be useful in August
or September. About the only thing that some people might want is a pool,
but there's one that can be used at Leverick Bay Resort (a 5 minute walk),
and hey, when you've got the Caribbean sea right outside your door, who
needs a pool?
For privacy, intimacy, a beachfront location, and reasonable price, this place
gets two thumbs up. We will definitely return!
activities and attractions in British Virgin Islands Caribbean
The North Sound is one of the most spectacular areas of the BVI. There are endless snorkelling spots. At Leverick Bay you can play tennis on the court, go scuba diving with Dive BVI, charter a boat, hire a dinghy or kayak to putt around the different bays or laze around and enjoy the atmosphere. Ring for the free water taxi and have windsurfing lessons at the Bitterend or have lunch at various island spots, Saba Rock or the Fat Virgin Cafe at Biras Creek, also reached by free water taxi, others on the island by car. You can easily hire a car to get around our island to see all the sights at Leon's or Speedy's. The convenient North Sound Express ferry stops here at Leverick Bay which takes you directly to Beef Island Airport, Tortola.
If chilling out and relaxing is your choice, stay around the cottages on your secluded deck or sit under our coconut palms reading a book whilst listening to the rustling of the palm fronds in the ocean breeze or take a refreshing ocean dip in our pristine waters. You will love staying at Coffee and Tea Beachfront Cottages!
